Ramen Bowl got to have a “choose your own adventure” kind of day.

Too bad she can’t read.

This adorable girl and her eight siblings were surrendered to our shelter as an unplanned and unwanted litter.

Luckily, we were able to help get their mom spayed, and with the help of our amazing friends at the @bergenspayandneuteralliance and @agentsof_chaosdenvercats we were also able to get Ramen Bowl and the rest of her siblings spayed and neutered today at our Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic!

Now that these cuties are spayed and neutered, they can have all the pup cups their little hearts desire! ❤️

(As they were just altered today, they will not be up for adoption until next week, but keep an eye out for them as they will be making their big debut at the Annual Stellabration event at @rockymountaintaco on Saturday, August 8th!)

The Tea Sampler kittens are almost ready for adoption. They are 12 weeks old and will have surgery on the 30th.

These kittens are sweet babies. They love to play with each other and my 1.5 year old kitten. Chai loves toys she can carry around.

All three also love to cuddle with each other and me.

Yesterday we lost Alex.

She was number 4 of a litter 5. These babies came from a hoarding house. These kittens were inbred. We can only hope that the surviving sibling makes it.

This is why we advocate for spay and neuter. Animals don't care who they are breeding with or how often. Their instinct is to propagate their species.

This morning’s work was about love and understanding, not judgment and anger.

Our small but mighty team has been working on this particular case for about six months. It’s incredibly important to us to go the extra mile and make sure we’re doing everything the right way.

There are so many good humans out there who simply don’t have access to the resources they need. Owners who truly love their animals and want the very best for them.

So often, we come across dog owners who choose to feed their dogs before feeding themselves.

This morning’s situation was a big win for rural and we wanted to share this story to give you a glimpse into the world we see every single day.

It’s not just about getting puppies adopted. It’s about helping the humans who own the moms and dads of these puppies. It’s about getting males and females spayed and neutered so we can help prevent unwanted litters. It’s about offering support instead of simply calling animal control. It’s about giving people a hand up and helping create lasting change.

We are so incredibly thankful for all of the organizations, volunteers, fosters, and supporters who make this work possible.

As we hear so often: we may not change the whole world, but we can change the life of one dog and their human. ❤️

Morning song with the babies!

The guidelines that came out in December 2023 say not to feed in the middle of night so the kittens can sleep.

With great sadness, I announce that the two smallest babies of our newest litter passed on Thursday.

Natalie passed in the morning and Charlie passed that evening.

Unfortunately, this is not unusual for preemie kittens. 4 days and 4 weeks are the common times we lose kittens due to congenital or bacterial issues.

So far the other three are still doing well.

Say hello to our newest litter!

These little beans were born on Monday to a feral mom. Mom never cleaned the kittens after giving birth. After some help from @agentsof_chaosdenvercats the kittens were put back with mom in hopes she would start caring for them. After 24 hours, she wasn't caring for them.

This is why we spay and neuter feral cats. We don't want babies suffering.

This litter is 4 girls and 1 boy. The past few years I've had mostly boys!

Can you guess the theme of this litter?
