Another market update Sept 2025: What can be the starting salaries for Anesthesiologist Assistants? 💰 (by state)

This is a NON inclusive list of all available positions. Currently, these are the top offers for full time positions for new grads with 0-1 yr experience.

It depends and varies on what state you’re working in. In general for 2025, the trend seems to be $180-250k for new graduates. Of course there will be opportunities that offer more with $30-100k sign on bonuses or less.

Whenever you’re looking at a job offer, take into consideration what your hours are. Is it only 40hrs/week? Or are you forced to take call/weekends/nights as well?

Your base salaries will increase with years of experience. If you’re looking to put in the hours, working extra shifts on your off days, etc, you can expect to make well over $350k/year.

Ps. This is not an inclusive list of all the opportunities available in the US. It’s just what I found posted today! www.gaswork.com

My 16 hour shift as an anesthesiologist assistant! I started off in the endoscopy suite with a couple of ERCPs requiring general anesthesia and a colonoscopy which was under sedation (twilight sleep). I had a morning break, lunch break and then took over a craniotomy that lasted pretty much all night. After my dinner break, I extubated the patient and transported him to ICU. Because all of the other cases in the hospital finished around the same time, I was able to go home early!

Today is my LAST Saturday 24 hour shift! I’m coming off this schedule so I can finally have my weekends back. I’ve been working almost every Saturday for 2 years. Although there were many benefits (less drama, fewer cases, chill vibe), I’m starting to miss out on too many things outside of work. Moving forward, my new schedule will be Tue/Wed/Thus 💥 with M/F optional (if I want to pick up extra) otherwise I get a 4 day weekend!

How to deal with job application rejection. It’s a tough to deal with emotionally as financial security is a necessity. However, it’s important to build a plan to drive succsss from failure.

I was excited to present this to the 4th year pharmacy students at @utexaspharmacy ! If you need coaching, please do reach out!
