We’re starting the countdown to Halloween with some pod gang lore; this photo is from one of the first years that our Movie Talk began, at the infamous annual Greenheart Halloween Party (RIP).

Our Halloween episode drops soon — what will you be for Halloween this year? 👹

Grateful to have felt cute and loved on my
birthday. ❤️Run-on reflection incoming. My 31st year included the beginning of my training and
specializing in ID/HIV medicine, making a home
and evolving shared life goals with the one and
only @darcyseesblue, welcoming a perfect niece and marveling at her naturally gifted parents, celebrating my mom finding her soul mate, forming close friendships
w nearby family, watching relationships of loved
ones change in destabilizing and in hopeful ways,
shifting my own view on life values and the
consumptive work culture in the US,
falling out of and then firmly back in love with my
field and growing very sure of what I want. Relationships, quality time, lifelong learning,
adventure, and creativity are the priorities.
Everything else is secondary if I plan to find
meaning and satisfaction in our intense world. In
year 32, I have the improbable
luck to feel like I can get to work on protecting
these values with my loved ones around me. Will keep trying to give them as much as they've
given to me.

People have been talking up RRG for so long that I finally had to see what the fuss was about. I ended up bagging my first 5.10 sport lead outside and led my first trad multi-pitch (spicy 2 pitch 5.6!). Miguel’s was a climber’s wonderland and and the Red is super GORGEous. Can’t wait to go back!

Match day was mostly an overwhelming reminder of the many amazing people in my life. Big shout out to this lady in the first pic. She’s my partner in all the things. She has been my flotation device throughout all the intense moments the past few years. I’m going to do my best to return the favor as she uses her own beautiful brain to cultivate a new career path and new adventure with me in Chicago. ❤️ I literally couldn’t have made it to this point without my mom, dad, sister, Darcy, family, mentors, and my closest friends (chosen family). Sending out deep, deep gratitude to my crew for helping me match to my #1 choice of the Rush IM residency program. I love you! 🤩
