Phewww… what a week! 🫶
RT with the girls, racing home to the kids, sale week fun, and a Palm Sunday Easter egg hunt on top of it all.

How could life get any busier… and honestly, how could it be any better? Feeling so grateful for this full, crazy, beautiful life we get to call ours and for all the amazing people we get to love along the way. 💛

“You have to live in the present and make it glorious..“

As I finally settle back in at home after the whirlwind of the past few months I find myself a bit emotional.

The exhaustion is real, don’t get me wrong, but my heart is so full. I made an effort to stay in each moment this season. Not look too far ahead or dwell in the past. Simply embrace all of the moments and memories as they happened. Every hug. Every laugh. Every blessing.

It was pure joy seeing all of my favorite kids (even the old ones will still be my kids) and meeting new sweet souls. Connecting with friends who have become family. Marveling at the talent the photographers on my team possess.

We can never change the past (good or bad) and anxiety for the future steals today’s joy. So living in the present…and seeing the glorious.

The 2025 Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show was definitely one for the books!!🤠🤠 We made it through the weather, cold, schedule changes and all the things to end up Friday night at the Premium Auction to set an unbelievable record!!!
We want to thank the Pott. Co. Commissioners for clearing all the paths, Mark Simpson - Interim Shawnee City Manager for helping us to get heat in the barns, Christi Luka and her team, OSU Extension Staff, the parents, grandparents, Ag teachers, 4- H leaders, exhibitors and The Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show Committee of volunteers for their perseverance to help make the show go on!!!!!! We have an incredible group of businesses, booster clubs, family and individuals that come together for these FFA and 4-H livestock exhibitors to help support them with future projects, college, trade schools and move their futures in the right direction. It was an unforgettable night of over 600 people on Friday night breaking all records of some over $300,000 with all monies going to the exhibitors that worked to make the Premium Auction sale! Thank you to everyone that came out and supported these young people 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠

The BGG’s + Perseverance = an AMAZING week. No way this week would have happened without Matt, Twana, Hadley and Morley Griffith. We all need each other in this life and no matter what it usually comes together. Besides working to make the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show happen in extenuating circumstances…… we still had to get cattle ready to show🤠🤠 insert the Griffiths. They helped Taycie and Bryar wash, blow, load equipment, unload equipment, hold, halter and all the things to help these two have an amazing show. This is what life is truly about. Thank you is never enough❤️❤️. Missing our Aunt Jo 😢 that has spent many hours in the barn with the Baker kids but they remembered all her good lessons and did a great job.
The BGG’s are blessed!!🥰

Wow! What an amazing night for the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show Pig Roast & Trophy Auction. Thank you! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported these FFA & 4-H exhibitors. It was such a rewarding night to see everyone in this wonderful community we live in come together for these outstanding young people. We appreciate The Firelake Arena and their staff, our amazing band who entertained us “Some Assembly Required”, the cooks for an outstanding meal, all the FFA instructors, 4-H leaders, parents, students who helped serve, supporters, and the volunteers that come together to make this wonderful event happen. An evening of around 575 people in attendance and a Record Breaking amount of $$ that will go to the PCJLS premium auction to support these FFA & 4-H students who have spent a entire year and many hard working hours with their livestock projects. It could not happen without each and every one of you!!! Save The Date for the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show!!
