Kajo - Programme -

(suomeksi kommenteissa)

Kajo takes the audience on an exhilarating journey in search of friendship and lost light. The wordless, visually beautiful and touching performance tells the story of encountering differences. All of the funny circus director's friends have disappeared. While searching for them, together with a shy and mysterious friend, surprises happen and we move through imaginative worlds. The hilarious performance is suitable for anyone who has ever lost their light and found it again.

Tomorrow we’ll present a 20-minute preview of DISPLAY at the Sirkustarjotin showcase in Kerava.

DISPLAY moves between performance and exhibition, inviting the audience to look at movement, objects and art from unexpected perspectives. Through absurd humour and playful exploration of how we perceive and interpret the world around us, the work continues beyond the performance and into the gallery space.

Sirkustarjotin is organised by Circus & Dance Finland together with the Cultural Services of the City of Kerava, as part of the Sirkus tulee! visibility campaign. In collaboration with Arctic Ensemble and supported by the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation.

DISPLAY is ready! 🎉

The show AND the exhibition are now ready - a full 5 months before the premiere!😳

Of course, there are still pre-premieres, showcases and plenty of fine-tuning ahead during the autumn… but the thing itself is alive and standing. 🖼️🤹

A huge thank you to the wonderful technical and production team at Menų spaustuvė - Arts Printing House for making this residency such a great place to work and create.

And a special thank you to Kastydis for taking care of the most important part of any artistic process: the wellbeing of the company - with parties, sauna and good times. ❤️

See you in the gallery.

✨ DISPLAY is going to Vilnius! ✨

Next week we’re heading to Arts Printing House for a two-week residency! and honestly, this preparation has felt like a full-time sport.

We’ve been testing and finding solutions for the scenography, making new art pieces, commiting mild monetary frauds, building, packing, unpacking, repacking… and somehow, right on time, everything is packed! 😅

Now we’re ready to take DISPLAY on the road and continue working, experimenting and putting the pieces together in Vilnius.

During the residency, we’ll also open the doors for a presentation:

📍 Arts Printing House, Vilnius
📅 17 August
⏰ 17:00

Everyone is warmly welcome to come and see what we’ve been working on! ❤️

See you in Vilnius! 🇱🇹✨
