POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
What a special homecoming! Our award-winning documentary Barbette + Fontaine had a special screening at the iconic @roundupsaloondallas in the heart of Dallas’ gayborhood as part of the Big Texas Little Film Tour! I’ve spent many nights dancing at the Round-Up, but I never imagined I’d one day be watching my own film on the big screen there. Talk about a full-circle moment! 🥹🏳️‍🌈 A huge THANK YOU to Iris and Kaytie, the creators of @bigtexaslittlefilm, for bringing together such an incredible showcase of Texas stories and filmmakers. We need more spaces like this to celebrate independent storytelling! And to my family and friends who came out to support us, it means the world to have y’all there. Sharing this film in my hometown, surrounded by people I love, made the day even more meaningful. ❤️ So proud of our Barbette + Fontaine team and grateful that this little Texas story continues to find new audiences! ✨ AND THE BARBETTE STORY CONTINUES! Next up: the 5th Annual Barbette Bash: Cirque du Barbette on December 12 in Austin, followed by the release of my forthcoming book, Searching for Barbette, with the University of Texas Press in Fall 2027! 📚🎪 What started as one Texas story has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. And we’re just getting started! 💙 #barbetteandfontaine #bigtexaslittlefilm #texasfilmmakers #independentfilm #lgbtqstories

✨🍾 AUSTIN, TEXAS — CHAMPAGNE IS COMING BACK FOR MORE!!! 🍾✨ We are absolutely THRILLED to return to aGLIFF for THE BIG QUEER WEEKEND, where LADY CHAMPAGNE will make its SOUTHWEST PREMIERE as the OPENING NIGHT FILM this Thursday, September 24! 🌈🎬💋 And yes… D’Arcy Drollinger will be there IN PERSON — IN DRAG AS CHAMPAGNE WHITE! 🍾👠✨ D’Arcy will be spreading glamour and fabulousness throughout the weekend, so Austin… you have officially been warned. 😂 This one feels especially sweet for us. ❤️ Five years ago, aGLIFF welcomed SH*T & CHAMPAGNE as its 2021 Closing Night Film, with D’Arcy there in person. Now we get to come roaring back with our bigger, crazier, rhinestone-studded sequel — this time to OPEN the festival! (Spoiler: you don’t need to have seen the first film to absolutely love the second!) And, our heartfelt love for this festival goes back even further: aGLIFF has been an extraordinary supporter of producer Marc Smolowitz’s films going all the way back to the 1990s, that’s nearly 30 YEARS of queer cinema, community partnership, and friendship. We are so grateful to organizations like aGLIFF that keep showing up for LGBTQ+ filmmakers generation after generation. ❤️🌈 So Austin, come celebrate this wonderfully full-circle moment with us — and prepare yourself for revenge, redemption, rhinestones, roundhouse high kicks, and some gloriously unhinged San Francisco drag! 💥👠🍾 🎬 LADY CHAMPAGNE 🌈 OPENING NIGHT — THE BIG QUEER WEEKEND ⭐ SOUTHWEST PREMIERE 📅 Thursday, September 24 ⏰ 7:00 PM 📍 Galaxy Theatres Austin 🎤 Followed by a LIVE Q&A with the filmmakers and stars! Austin… CHAMPAGNE IS SERVED! 🥂💋✨ #aGLIFF #TheBigQueerWeekend #LadyChampagne #DArcyDrollinger
