KNIT AND WEAVE
Group Exhibition
03.05.–01.06.2025
⭢ Schloss Hollenegg for Design, Austria

Thrilled to exhibit my work alongside fellow @_basketclub_ members—and grateful I could be there for the vernissage.

My work, ‘Ebb and Flow’ tells a story of the connection to my East and Southeast Asian root, reimagined into a handwoven and sewn cultural object. It symbolizes the past (histories), present (diaspora) and the future (the unknown) of my cultural experiences.

Thank you @joh.pic and @alicestori for the thoughtful curation—especially impressive given the unique challenges of an imperial, aristocratic setting like Schloss Hollenegg. On top of everything, deepest thanks to Adrianus Kundert @opblaashelicopter. This exhibition wouldn’t have taken place without his initiation.

The castle has passed through the hands of noble families, including the Liechtensteins and later the House of Liechtenstein-Rosenberg, both of which were embedded in the Habsburg court system. Today, it is owned by descendants of this nobility and functions partly as a platform for design and cultural programs—less empire, more curated cool, cleverly reimagined as a hub for design, art, and cultural experimentation.
