🎁 Grateful for an Incredible Holiday Season! 🎁

This past Saturday (3:30–7:00 PM), our @Texas A&M University community came together for a powerful Holiday Gift Drive, supporting our Essential Aggies.

A cornerstone of this drive is how we serve families: parents get to “shop” for their children, preserving dignity, pride, and choice while empowering them during the holiday season.

This year, we also expanded our impact with an Angel Tree Program, fulfilling specific wishes and bringing even more personalized joy. Together, we proudly served over 340 children of our Essential Aggies.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners who helped bring this vision to life:

Legacies
AMC
DST
REACH Board & Staff
The Big Event
School of Public Health
AgsREACH
CHi-O
May's Business School
McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship
Huge thanks to our amazing student volunteers! Your heart, energy, and dedication brought joy, honored dignity, and made this season brighter for families. This is what a campus community should look like!

I cant tell you how many texts I get “should I wash my hair before my appointment”

The answer is Yes! You should wash before your appointment and here’s why.

- “Hair color does better on dirty hair” is a MYTH. Hair color is more gentle than it was years ago when you needed your natural oils to act as a barrier between the high ammonia and your scalp.

- Now, if you come in with extra dirty hair the color won’t be able to penetrate through like it should. Clean hair gives an even canvas to process on. Product buildup can actually make your color or toner not take as it should. Not only is it working through your natural hair, it’s now having to work through days of dry shampoo and hairspray.

- I always recommend washing 1-2 days before your appointment to ensure your color takes evenly.
