As I head to Texas today to start living in the third state of my life, I’ve been reflecting on my near 5 years in Chicago that went way too fast.

I was told when i moved to Chicago, that the winters would break me. That I’d never survive. Well, that was tested immediately with a day where it was literally -18 degrees out, and the only person stupid enough to be outside in it for any real length of time was Jussie Smollett and his…you know.

But it didn’t break me. In fact I embraced the winters. Christmas time at Wrigley with the Christmas village and the ice rink was amazing. As was being able to go to Wrigley basically every day and take pictures of the marquee for an entire season (except the one day which my dear departed friend Bryan ruined it because we actually couldnt get out of Wrigley in time), but I’ll give him a pass on that.

All the sports I got to go to: a White Sox game even though they’re the crosstown rivals, many Bears games including the one with my Bucs fan friend where Trubisky had SIX TD passes on the Bucs in one game, a Bulls game, hell I even found Jesus at Notre Dame (FSU football needs him for sure). I never made a Blackhawks game, but I saw a lot.

I saw things like scenery from filming of the new Batman to seeing the river turn green every year. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted, but I did a lot that I’ll never forget. And while I’ll definitely be back, I’ll always have a piece of Chicago with me in the form of Miss Snowface that I named after the other place I’ll always have with me (maybe I should get another dog in Texas and name it after Chicago).

It’s been a hell of a run Chicago. And while it didn’t end the way I wanted, I’m very glad I did it. I’ll see you again soon. 🍻

Great time in Tallahassee. Reunited with some people I knew. Met some people I didn’t. Until next time.

What a crazy week it’s been. Outside of coaching my other passion has always been to get behind this mic and creating content that I think people would find interesting. I went from having no place to do that, to now having two. I couldn’t be more excited. Thanks for the love and support, new episodes of both drop soon! #podcast #fsu #collegefootball #scarymovies #horror #WWE #AEW
