happy birthday to my absolute favorite person!!

i genuinely don’t know what i would do without you. you are so much more than just my best friend. you’re my safe place, my biggest supporter, my favorite person to laugh with, and the sister i got to choose. i don’t think you’ll ever fully understand how much you mean to me or how much better my life is simply because you’re in it.

thank you for loving me through every version of myself, for listening to my endless rants, for making me laugh when i need it most, and for being someone i can always count on. if i could go back and live my life a thousand times, i would find you and choose you as my best friend in every single one.

you deserve a lifetime of happiness, love, and everything beautiful this world has to offer. i hope this year gives you even half the joy you’ve brought into my life.

i love you endlessly, and there is nobody else i would rather do life with. happy birthday, my forever best friend. 🤍

It’s the joy for me.🥹✨🖤

Eight years ago we (@weareimaginarium) started this little act of whimsy at Nashville Pride, color dusting people while reminding them of who they already are. Eight years later we’re still here, still going strong, and watching the line form around our booth never gets old. Others have started to borrow the idea, and that’s just fine with us. The world can hold all the color and affirmation it can get. But the heart of this was never the dust. It was the reminder underneath it: you are enough, and you are valued, exactly as you are.

What an honor to help remind people of this. What an honor to add a little whimsy and play to their day. What an honor to witness humanity in all of its fullness and all of its complexity.

Whimsy is a serious act. ✨

You are inherently connected.
You are inherently responsible.
You are inherently magical.

It’s the tears. It’s the laughter. It’s the smiles. It’s the ones who come back year after year and tell us this is their favorite part of Pride. It’s the ones who want the affirmation but can’t take the dust yet, because they aren’t out & heading home after.

It’s the power of a look in the eye. A touch on the shoulder. The power of a reminder. The power of mirroring worth back to each other, and getting to have fun while we do it.

We’ve found whether you give the dust or receive it, it’s the same blessing. The same affirmation. The same shared humanity. The need and the beauty of both giving and receiving. 🤝

The world needs more of this. We’re grateful we get to keep doing it.🖤✨🎨

Still testifying to the good,

One thing our crew knows how to do well is party. 🎉

Almost the whole gang got together for an early celebration for Haven’s 17th. She wanted a Disney dance party. Ask & ye shall receive. ✨

Special thanks to @theauraclinics for hosting. •

@havengreeneofficial we love you babe. Celebrating the whole month. 😘🙌🪩👯‍♀️🎈
