No, we all did not win.

But we did create some pretty amazing teamwork, and we had an absolute blast together.

We pre-rode, practiced, figured things out as we went, ate possibly the best strudel ever with one of the best views imaginable, and somehow managed to stack five bikes into one car for every single pre-ride—and race day.

There was plenty of racing, but there was also a lot of laughing, eating, exploring, problem-solving, and just enjoying being together in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
In the end, that's a pretty good win too.

What a blast to share the Dolomites with such a cool group of friends.

September 13, 2026. What a day. Against all odds (and there were a lot), and with a village of support back home, we had made it to the start line: the 2026 UCI Marathon Masters World Championships. @trishpedalmama and I had linked up with a stellar group of fellow country men and women to navigate the Italian Dolomites. Once competitors, we became teammates: sharing race strategies, food (especially strudel, espresso, and gelato), transportation (they were tolerant of my “Mario Andretti” van driving), tourist outings, and an historic chalet that our soon-to-be good friend Pax Tolosi had booked. Pax and I ran support (I got to recon pretty much all of the spectacular 51 mile, 11K vert course) while Matt, Amy, Beata and Trish all lined up against the best Masters XC mountain bike racers in the world. The entire experience was surreal: the mountains, culture, and the prestige of a World Championship event were beyond anything we could’ve imagined.
To top it off? Trish won the thing! I’m so friggin’ proud of her and the work we put in.
And September 13th marks something I am even more grateful for (no, it’s not Coco the cat): a second chance. To be a part of something bigger than me; to own my mistakes; to take what I’ve learned and sow compassion and love. 🙏

Highlights and interviews from TSE stage 5 are up on DirtWireTV YouTube. Channel link in bio.

Got to spend a little bit more time on these since the race ended yesterday. Shot the entire day on GoPro because it was raining so hard.

Went with a theme of music by decade for the nightly videos at dinner. Only made it to the 2000s. Don’t always go with my jams, tend to go a little more crowd pleaser tracks like this one. It’s fun though.

Hope to see more of you at TSE 2027.

Big, crazy highlights from TSE stage 3 with lots of funny interviews and mishaps are up on DirtWireTV YouTube. Channel link in bio.

The main goal at TSE is to get highlights for racers to watch at dinner. The YouTube highlights are a little chucked together. Please excuse any rough edges.

Blackcat Racing + Amy for the win! 🥇

We took the top spot in the 12 Hours of Santos coed team division, and wow—what a day.

Race highlights:
• Matt kicked things off with the first 5 laps, setting the tone and throwing down some of the fastest men’s laps of the entire race.
• Amy and I took over for laps 6–11, trading off and cranking out some of the quickest women’s times out there.
• Matt jumped back in for laps 12 and 13 to tackle the first night riding of the day.
• Then Amy and I each knocked out a night lap—so fun, and it’s been a minute since I last rode in the dark!
• By lap 15, I rode fast enough that Matt had to make the game-time call for a 16th lap. He went out with no data, just pure instinct, and absolutely ripped it—finishing lap 16 with TWO minutes to spare. 🤯

This race is always a blast, but doing it with your best friend and husband makes it even better. We definitely spiced things up by running a 3‑person team with two women, but we were up for the challenge—and it made the day even sweeter. Side note: second fastest team time behind a 4 person all men's team. Until next year… and maybe a 12‑hour solo option is in the cards (and nope, it's not me 😅).

Okay, first voice over video. It was a cool ride, even if I hated the sand patches lol.

couldn’t even record the best gravel parts because I needed both hands on the handlebars (and still had a little crash) 🤘🏻 such a unique route that went through burned pine forests, farm land, jungle-y forests, single track, & swamps

After 13 years… THE HIPP RIDE KOM HAS FALLEN

Our #euroboyz lit it up in a four man team time trial with Gator Great Ryan Saylor to take the legendary KOM 👑! They set a blazing time and broke the 45 minute barrier rocking the new kits! Squad is rolling deep this year!!

As Ali said - "We race, and then we catch up!"😁💯👌
This is how biking friends go about things sometimes...
Really had a pleasure racing my friends @aheymee and @alecrawsmith...
We all went hard from the start. Climb out of winery, all ladies still all together, but just couple minutes later, it was just three of us and we were all hanging with front group of guys.
The moment race officially started up the road climb that was turning into gravel, just few miles in, this is when things got interesting.
Ali was in front pushing pace and looking strong, each time she heard me catching her wheel and breathing down her neck, she lunched mini attack and got away.
Soon after we started going few times back and forth, me ahead, Ali ahead, and so on.
20 minutes in I went to side of Ali and said "isn't that fun?", I honestly have no idea why I used that word!😂 Ali said, "I don't think so"...
At this point we both were beet red and really pushing our limits!
Ali goes, "I knew you were going to make it hard for us", I replied, "And same goes to you".
We were both in pain but smiling...
Ali thought, there might be another female ahead, but I didn't think anyone else would be crazy enough to torture themselves that way...
I kept on the gas and rode away...
I really somehow felt well today and focused from there on, on putting my best effort.
The hour long climb was close to my PR, even though the gravel as we were warned, was very bumpy this time around.
The tops of the climbs were foggy, cool, windy, just the way I like them...
On the descents I was sending this pony fast, into crazy rough and foggy misty descents as I knew my fast fends are very capable, and it made it for me for even more interesting ride...
We had truly great time catching up after at the finish line!
Everyone had a good day, big smile, and that is what all of it is about...

Thank you to @mountaingoatadventures
for putting always great racing together!
