In the frame of the seminar Art (Studio Visits) in Context, we present positions and practices from our alumni.

Introducing: Media-artist Caroline Böttcher, alumni of 2018/2019.
Since 2017, Carolin Böttcher has been developing and producing site-specific audio works. In her audio play-like walks, she deals in particular with different chapters of Berlin's history. For her works, she chooses trivial rather than historically charged locations: for example, she explores the connections between botany and colonial history in Berlin's former Botanical Garden, which is now a city park. Caroline Böttcher studied photography and graphic arts at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig and in the Master Art in Context at the Universität der Künste, Berlin.
