Here at TPS, most of our classes are technique based rather than focusing on specific projects. This gives students an opportunity to develop their own voice and apply what they learn to their own clay practice. For our last session of 2026, we are offering hand building, wheel throwing, and special topics such as soda firing, nerikomi, and preparing your work for exhibition. Come celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with us @abacusrow on Friday, September 25. 🌕🐇 We are delighted to have friends @ahnleestudio, @homenote.love, @doublechinnychin, @theasiandessertlady @itskatle spinning tunes (and @anxoi.nyc in bánh trung thu spirit) joining us in the shop to celebrate. Looking forward to being in company with artists who create space to reflect on tradition and our futures through art, self-care, music and food. ——— MID-AUTUMN CELEBRATION 🏮 Date: Friday, September 25 Hours: 4–7pm Abacus Row 1256 Mason Street San Francisco ✨ AHN LEE STUDIO @ahnleestudio: Ahn Lee is a queer Cantonese artist and researcher based in the Bay Area. Working in porcelain with crystalline glazes she develops and formulates in her studio, her work explores diasporic inheritance, autobiographical re-making, material transformation, and queer Cantonese futurity. 🌕 HOMENOTE @homenote.love: Cho Lor is trained in healing and meditation, sound therapy, reiki and numerology. Cho will be offering individual healing sessions. 🐇 CHINCHIN HSU @doublechinnychin: Chinchin Hsu is a dancer and choreographer. She is currently working on Every Grain of Us, a dance performance and project inviting audiences to experience the five senses—sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste, through the world of rice. Chinchin will be facilitating a visual and text collage activity. 🎶 KAT LÊ @itskatle: will be spinning tunes for us to enjoy between 4-7pm. 🔥 ASIAN DESSERT LADY @theasiandessertlady: Robin will be offering fresh grass jelly and creamy coconut jello! 🥮 ǍN XÔI @anxoi.nyc: we’ll have Ǎn Xôi’s wonderful bánh trung thu aka mooncakes to share all day long. These are also available as a box of 4 to pre-order for pickup at the event. Limited quantities will be available for purchase on event day. Here at The Potters Studio, we are proud to offer top notch classes taught by some of the best instructors in the Bay.
