Austin Huckaby is one of the more intriguing young guards in the Class of 2030. The 6’2” guard plays varsity as a freshman at The Masters School (NY) while also competing on the Nike EYBL circuit with the New York RENS.

Huckaby stands out with his elite athleticism, highlighted by an explosive vertical that allows him to play well above the rim. He consistently applies rim pressure, attacking defenders with confidence and finishing through contact or elevating over traffic. His ability to collapse defenses creates opportunities for both himself and his teammates.

While his athleticism grabs attention, Huckaby is also a capable perimeter shooter who can make defenses pay when they sag off. He has a smooth shooting stroke, can knock down catch-and-shoot opportunities, and continues to expand his scoring arsenal.

Defensively, his length, quickness, and explosiveness give him the tools to guard multiple positions and make plays in transition. As he continues to develop physically and refine his all-around game, Huckaby has the potential to become one of New York’s premier prospects in the 2030 class.
