Every second of this pouring was personal and intentional.

There are moments when you’re singing a song, and then there are moments when the words become your own declaration. This was one of those moments for me.

“AND WE WON’T STOP PRAISING!” 🙌🏾🔥

Grateful to pour alongside my YES CULTURE family as we sang “Great Jehovah” by JJ Hairston. This moment meant something to me, and I pray you can feel that through the screen.

Anyone who has served alongside me will tell you, more than anything, I have a desire to point people to the feet of Jesus.

Not to wow them. Not for them to walk away saying, “Man, he’s good.” But to lead people into His presence and create space for them to see just how good He is.

Singing a song like “Isn’t He Beautiful” really tests the question: Do I know Him?

What attributes of Him have I actually come to know? What have I experienced about His character that makes Him beautiful to me? And how do I take what I know about Him and put language to it, not only so I can tell others how beautiful He is, but so I can tell Him?

Because at some point, worship has to become more than singing the right words.

It has to become our response to a God we actually know.

There is something beautiful that happens when posture meets preparation.

We prepare our voices. We prepare the arrangement. We rehearse the transitions. But none of that is the destination. Preparation simply creates room for the Holy Spirit to move.

This moment began with Ancient of Days, but what followed was never in the plan. Sometimes the most meaningful moments in worship aren’t manufactured. They happen when prepared hearts remain surrendered.

May we never become so committed to the plan that we miss His presence.

Leave nothing behind. Serve with everything you have. The outcome isn’t yours to carry. The offering is.
