Bryan Cantley’s Lecture “Exhaustive Drawings” will be held on Monday, September 14, at 4:00pm in the Architecture Building lecture hall 100 on the first floor.
The lecture and accompanying exhibition present a “long game” project — a slow reading and development of a drawing typology, grounded in Georges Perec’s An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris. Framed as an ongoing project, the work becomes a language-development condition: an exercise in generating an infinite set of architectural languages from a finite condition.

CAP lectures are free and open to the public. The image is one of Brian Cantley ‘s illustrations of multiple black and white architectural drawings layered on top of each other.

After 15 years of supporting CAP students, Lori Pence leaves behind a legacy of compassion, encouragement, and genuine kindness.

As Director of Student Services, Lori has been there for students through challenging times, helped them feel at ease, and celebrated their successes.

Her impact on our students and our college community is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed. Thank you, Lori, for everything you have given to CAP and, most importantly, to our students. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Lori’s last day is August 28th, come by this week and wish Lori a happy retirement.

You can also help celebrate Lori with a personal note on our Kudoboard.

At AIAS’s Grassroots 2026 conference, fifty-one students represented fifteen Midwest AIAS chapters at the AIA Global Campus for Architecture & Design in Washington DC to connect, develop our skills, and advocate alongside our larger group of international student leaders! Over the course of three days, we learned how to advocate for our communities, how to sustainably serve our built environment, and planned for the future of leadership. We had a blast connecting with our peers from across the world, and look forward to meeting again at the @chronologydetroit Midwest Quad Conference this September in Detroit. The Midwest is better than the rest!

CAP’s Hands-On Timber elective students teamed up with ecoREHAB of Muncie to develop the design, production, and build of high-performance, panelized components created off-site for a Merchandise Mart for ecoREHAB. The prototype of a panelized production process will inform the design and construction of new urban infill housing in Old West End., Muncie.
