Salon international is like the new year for hair and beauty. It’s a reset to go there, be inspired and see friends.

I’ve been lucky enough to cut at the event over the years.

These images are reflective of my progression and what been going on in Brighton at the time.

The styles were all done with a selection of tools. But the ever present was the @leafscissors pink editions and leaf razor. Great bits of kit to do great bits of work.

The looks were captured by the very talented @connellaoife and @jfaulkner_photo and they are tagged in the relevant pictures.

These moments took me out of my comfort zone and pushed me forward to the next level

Excited for what’s next.

Wicked time on the leaf stand this Sunday at Salon international

Big thanks to @aidan.moran_ for sacrificing his time and Barnet.

Shout out to Luke for the hosting and Aofie for making me feel a celeb.

If you’re looking to add to your kit back you cannot go wrong with Leaf. Beautifully made, good for the world and a proper collection of tools.

Use code Dan30 for 30% off your order.

I’ve been lucky enough to work at lots of events over the years. Each one is a new challenge and learning experience.

I’ve walked away from them all with new skills and perspectives and made some great friends.

Big love to the people who have given me chances and pushed me out of my comfort zone.

@alligatrband RETURN WITH ‘PTEROSAUR KITE’ — A BRIGHTON FOUR-PIECE FINDING THEIR OWN UNIQUE SOUND

Picture this. You’re in your favourite local music bar — the kind that serves pints in jam jars and local IPAs with the most questionably clever names. The walls are layered with peeling band posters, and the air carries that familiar mix of smoke, sweat, and something a little nostalgic. There’s a gig happening next door. You haven’t heard of alligatr yet — but suddenly, you’re hooked.

This three-part Cornish, one-part Irish four-piece are chipping out their very own place in the Brighton scene.
