I think it’s finally time to introduce the stray himself… Aidan.

If you’ve been around, you’ve definitely seen him.

We could tell you his whole life story and how he got here, but let’s be honest… no one has time for that.

Luckily, his cocktails do it for him.
Each one on the menu says something about where he’s been.

If you want to know more, you’ll have to come try them. 🐈‍⬛

Across the city, some of the world’s best bars are stepping behind Cape Town counters — and we’re lucky enough to host a few of them.

At Unclaimed, the team from @hero_nairobi (Nairobi) take over the bar for a special guest shift, bringing their signature Kenyan energy and flavour to Kloof Street.

Meanwhile at Talking to Strangers, we’re welcoming @smokingkillsbar (Johannesburg) and the legendary @sipandguzzlenyc (New York City) behind the sticks for a night of collaborative cocktails, global bar culture, and the kind of chaos we love.

Three cities. Three bars. One week.

Cape Town, pull through.

It’s Tuesday. You know what that means.

You asked for more raw behind-the-scenes… so this week, we just set the camera down and let it roll.

Every Tuesday before service, the team sits down for a proper tasting. It’s our cool-down before the chaos — running through the specials, breaking down flavours, figuring out how to describe them without sounding like wine snobs, and actually tasting what we’re about to serve you. Because if we’re recommending it, we better know it.

This week’s table talk came with an unexpected walk-in from our good friend @aidan.powrie from @unclaimedbar 👀

On the menu:

🌭 Chef Fanny’s corn dogs — no over-explaining needed. Some of the best in town. Crispy, nostalgic, dangerous.

🍸 Hammer Time — gin, bianco vermouth, apple & thyme syrup, lemon, pineapple, orange bitters. Fresh, layered, low-key lethal.

🍹 Flava Flave (yes, Flava FLAAAAV) — vodka, Aperol, winter melon, raspberry. Bright, playful, way too easy to drink.

Watch till the end. Then pull through and taste what we were talking about.

See you tonight.

When someone who understands flavour calls Inzalo delicious, it means something. @aiden.powrie, owner of @unclaimedbar tasted it and immediately connected with its character. Honest feedback from the people behind the bar is where the real story unfolds.
