I wanna talk to you about one of the sweetest, kindest, hilarious, strongest & most badass woman I have ever met.

@aidantattoos and I connected almost 5 years ago when we crossed paths at the Cleveland Clinic. We both literally saw each other in passing and had a tangible feeling of connection, even though we didn’t know each other or know anything about each other.

The algorithms did what they do and and she saw one of my videos on TikTok, commented and said I saw you! I looked at her page and I couldn’t believe she was the woman we saw in the wheelchair that we felt so drawn to.

Having having somebody else walking, almost a parallel path in a world that is so complicated, has been life-saving, validating, and provided support that nobody else could unless they’ve gone through it.

She found a new surgeon this past August that took her case when she was dying and nobody else in the United States would/could help her. She got scheduled for surgery and told Dr Alvear about me and my situation. Within an hour, I was scheduled to have surgery the day after her, and we were going to be meeting for the first time in the Philippines for life-saving surgery.

Even though we were both sick, depleted, and quite literally dying, the second I met her her energy just fills the room with joy and laughter & life. This woman has a voice and a strength that’s gentle and powerful all at the same time.

Going through this we became sisters, connected by a bond that only people who traveled our path can really understand. That both of us want to focus on joy, laughter, and getting every ounce of goodness in this life, no matter how much pain. That we will go to the end of the Earth to survive.

She’s a walking miracle and a breath of fresh air to anybody who crosses her path.

She deserves the world and she is committed to changing it for people who are suffering like we did. Medical abuse, gaslighting, botched surgeries, and the natural struggle that comes with being rare. She inspires me in some of the most larger than life ways. Love you Aidan. ❤️

Asking for prayers for my friends Anna @survivingwithgoodness and Aidan @aidantattoos as they continue their recovery process from their lifesaving procedures in the Philippines.

When Anna took this trip she’s the only one I knew who had the condition that she does. Now seeing her and Aidan connect when she got overseas and starting to follow her story I’ve learned more about it, but also gotten more nervous for these two very kind souls.

Their surgeries were extremely complex and lengthy — as long as 18 hours. Their recovery process is throwing tons of obstacles in their way that they’re trying to overcome. I’m so thankful both were able to make into their surgeries…and even more thankful both are at this point in their recovery.

The world is a crazy place, and Anna’s worked so hard to bring more light to it and give us all shades to be able to see. I can tell she met a great friend in Aidan. Both are important pieces in this world.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they try to get back on their feet.
