One of my favorite films at AI Film 3 was DUCK by @aifilmlab Jose Alvarez.

My one wish for the festival? More filmmakers in the room. So when I couldn’t stop thinking about his film, I reached out. A quick Zoom call turned into a 3.5-hour conversation about film, craft, and the work behind the work.

When I told him he’s a master of his craft, he said, “I’m not a master, I’m just passionate about films.”

That’s exactly it. The passion shows in every detail of what he makes.

This is why finding your community matters. The tools are new, but behind every AI film is a human with a vision!

Go watch DUCK… when Jose releases it 😄

Thank you for sharing the excellent work and for such an amazing conversation. I’m inspired. @aifilmlab

Behind every AI film is a human. 🎬

At AI Film 3 in Phoenix, @aifilm3 I sat in Auditorium 1 and watched about 74 films. Every one of them had a writer, a director, a designer, an editor, a composer: real people making hundreds of creative choices no tool could make for them. The tools are new. The creativity is human.

Human creativity. AI films are human. 🧡

YEONWOO (연우) — S01E12
ROOM 069

Berlin wasn’t waiting for her.

It had already prepared the room.

A key.
A record.
A voice on the telephone.
And something left behind while the water was running.

Some doors should remain locked.

It's time to stop seeing the African continent as behind. It's time to see it as the blueprint. 😎

Presenting a first look at my collection, KUSUDI, for @announcedigitalfashionweek 👠

👉 Kusudi (Swahili for purpose) is a project built with intent. It starts here with two looks inspired by the Ukara cloth of Nigeria and Cameroon.

This preview reflects a larger #vision. I see the future of fashion as a powerful mix of tradition and innovation—taking inspiration from the past but elevating it through contemporary ideas and the latest technology.

👉 The full collection is an eclectic tapestry of African traditions, spotlighting profound elements of cultural heritage that risk being erased.

👉 A core purpose is to educate, preserve, and INSPIRE—to show how deep cultural research fuels a cohesive vision and powerful storytelling. By transforming these elements through an artistic lens, I hope to encourage a new chapter of intentional creation. Fashion is a tool that goes beyond clothing; it's a way to build our future with purpose.

P.S. This reel shows the KUSUDI philosophy in action: two looks translating tradition, three building a metallic future. The precious stones are not just decoration; they are the statement. This is a brilliant, sophisticated, luxurious African future—here, now.
