Leviticus follows two teenage boys who are dealing with feelings and desires for each other while being hunted by a terrifying supernatural entity. The terrifying part is that the entity doesn’t have one fixed appearance it can take the form of the person you desire most.
As the boys try to escape, they’re forced to question whether the person they see in front of them is actually the person they care about… or whether the entity is using their feelings against them. Their attraction, fear, and vulnerability become part of the horror as the creature manipulates what they want most.
The movie mixes psychological horror, supernatural terror, romance, and queer themes, exploring what happens when something takes the feelings that should bring you comfort and turns them into something frightening.
At its core, it’s about desire, love, identity, shame, trust, and the fear of losing someone you care about or realizing that the person you’re drawn to may not be who you think they are.
