A hangover on Thursday? The fair is just getting started, but at Galeria Sardenberg’s booth, @felipebarsuglia paints the hangover—not only from drinking, but from contemporary life itself. The “Pinturas de Ressaca” series reflects on the excesses we insist on collecting.
So, what was your last “hangover”? 👀

Erika Verzutti curates “Head Stretch,” a group exhibition featuring works by Felipe Barsuglia, Allan Gandhi, Luciana Maas, Flora Rebollo, Gokula Stoffel, and Verzutti herself, opening today (Apr 24) at Andrew Kreps Gallery @andrewkrepsgallery in New York.

The exhibition brings together artists connected not by a shared theme, but by place: a studio building in São Paulo affectionately known as “Predinho.” Over time, Verzutti became a close presence there—“an older friend, some kind of mentor, mostly a fan”—as informal exchanges unfolded through studio visits, board games, and late-night conversations.

The show emerges from these ongoing dialogues, an analog counterpart to the “infinite scroll,” where affinities develop in parallel to artistic practice. The title itself reflects this open-ended process, taking on different meanings for each artist.
