If you had told 12-year-old Brenden and Dana 33 years ago that one day we’d be flying in a helicopter through the mountains of Alaska, spending the day on a 3,000-foot ridgeline working on a remotely controlled avalanche mitigation system, with live explosives and electrical currents, flying drones and enjoying a root beer, we would have thought you were absolutely crazy. Yet here we are. Life has a funny way of taking you places you never could have imagined. Grateful for the adventure, the friendship, and the opportunity to experience things that our sixth-grade selves couldn’t have even dreamed of.

He shares a first descent of 90 foot Noccalula Falls in Alabama with fellow southeast legends @patkeller406 and @chrisgragtmans . He has since smashed the race scene taking tites 🏆 at @mountaingamesvail , @thelittlewhitesalmonrace (tied with @egthekilla ), and 2x at the prestigious @greenrivernarrowsrace . @nourianewman the 🐐. The French 🇫🇷 phenom is widely considered the most accomplished and dominant force in whitewater kayaking. After earning a World Championship in ICF Slalom, she transitioned to extreme creeking (winning Extreme Kayak World Championship), and expedition paddling. She has many history defining moments, but a few are the first woman to run a 100-foot waterfall (and First D of Pucuno Falls in Ecuador), and also holds the first female descent of Malupa on the Indus River in Pakistan, and first female descent of Site Zed on the infamous Stikine. 5X (in a row) peer voted Rider of the Year at the @whitewaterawards . Nou placed 8th in 2015 at the NFC before there was even a ladies division. NFC is pretty much only race she hasn’t won, is this the year she takes the 👑 ?! Where are you from? I would buy a small cabin next to a river and live out my days paddling, and watching the sunset with my pack of 15 otters. Role Model in kayaking, why? My role model and mentor in the sport is @bren.orton. He lit a fire in me that makes me who I am today. He is the reason I am here, living life to the fullest and chasing my dreams.
