I love challenges, this one comes with more excitement.

Initiate the vision. Fold it with intention. Let it take flight. 🕊️

An origami crane may begin with nothing more than a simple sheet of paper, but every fold gives it shape, direction and purpose. For me, it is a small reminder that visions work the same way. They need to be initiated, shaped with patience, and worked on one step at a time before they can truly take flight.

So, I’m initiating this little Origami Vision Challenge — folding my vision into a crane and passing it forward.

It represents my vision of creating opportunities beyond the obvious places — while continuing to learn, lead, mentor and build along the way.

I nominate [ @sakshidecodes_ ], [ sayantan ] & [ @the_dee_show ] to create your own origami crane and share the vision, idea or dream you are currently shaping and share it here, tag 3 people who you wish to nominate further.

Every big idea starts with one small fold.
Your turn. What are you going to fold into reality? ✨

🎙I truly believe that experience changes the way we see leadership!

What may appear to be a decision from the outside often carries years of context, judgement and responsibility behind it.

My conversation with Rekha Sethi, Director General, @aima.india offered an opportunity to examine finer nuances of leadership in the boardroom. Her journey brought valuable perspective to a question worth revisiting:

What truly makes someone a leader?

Over the years—through engagements with policymakers, industry bodies, and discussions around logistics reform and institutional frameworks — @arunpanditunplugged, Co-founder of @hyphenscs, has often reflected on one powerful truth.

Public policy is not distant. It is deeply personal.

As National Chairman of the @aimaylc at @aima.india, @arunpanditunplugged is honoured to chair an important virtual session titled "Public Policy & Nation-Building: Why Young Leaders Must Engage.

Dr. Shubhashis Gangopadhyay is not just a scholar of public policy—he is an exponent of it. His distinguished roles include:

• Research Director, India Development Foundation

• Director, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, @shivnadaruniv

• Visiting Professor, @universityofgothenburg

• PhD in Economics from @cornelluniversity

• Former Professor, Indian Statistical Institute

During the global financial crisis, he served as Advisor to the @finminindia, contributing to critical economic decision-making at a time when clarity, courage, and deep structural insight were essential.

Today, he continues to contribute actively to India’s policy ecosystem:

• Advisor to the Competition Commission of India

• Chief Editor, Journal of Emerging Market Finance

• Author and editor of numerous influential books referenced widely across academic and policy circles.

His work bridges theory and implementation—academia and governance—insight and impact.

Key themes we will explore include:

• Why youth engagement is critical for India’s long-term development

• How young leaders can influence public policy constructively

• What barriers limit youth participation in governance

• How institutions can genuinely open space for young voices.

Session Details:
Date: 13 March 2026
Time: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Platform: Zoom

Kindly confirm participation at asehgal@aima.in

India's future will not be shaped by commentators.

It will be shaped by participants. We look forward to an engaging and intellectually rich dialogue.
