May none of us ever have to wonder what life would be like without the medicine of sisterhood.

An unexpectedly nourishing weekend of storytelling, laughter, tears, heart-opening conversations, and the spicy playfulness that reminds me of how much of a blessing and a privilege it feels to be alive.

Venus retrograde has been a juicy and illuminating passage thus far, inviting the wisdom of the underworld where beauty is continually being birthed on the ever-emerging altar of life. 🕯️🌹✨

And perhaps one of the most beautiful things we can birth as women, is a world that reflects the ways we know how to hold one another. The way that we hold ourselves and each other, is the way we demand of the world to hold us, especially in these times.

May we remember that our creative power extends beyond our capacity to grow children. We are also capable of birthing new ways of relating, gathering, organizing, and belonging.

And in a world that has long extracted from the sacred feminine while simultaneously seeking to suppress her, there is something deeply revolutionary in my opinion, about women gathering in our fullness.

In our pleasure, grief, prayer, joy, sacred rage, sovereignty…

Remembering what our ancestors knew all along.

Yoga meets embodiment class - somatic flow is a class to increase your nervous system capacity and embodied awareness.

This is 32 🌹
Every year the lessons become simpler and yet more profound in their simplicity.
Long before the genocide, growing up between South Lebanon and Beirut, learning the history of colonization on our lands, we always wondered- how did they do it?
Our mothers. Our grandmothers. Living under occupation at certain points, under imminent danger at others, or in the anticipation of it when it was not there, and yet somehow creating memories with us, and for us, that we will carry forever. Teaching us to love life and the breath we are gifted with, no matter the circumstances.

This is not an attempt to justify my joy while my people suffer. I am simply recognizing that this is exactly how they did it. they prioritized their families and their communities. They celebrated, and still do, somehow, in the face of the colonizer.
I am slowly learning that everything - especially hardship and suffering- leads back to love.
I love watching my passions deepen and my purpose clarify with the flavors of aging. I love rooting in my devotion to truth and to the liberation of all people.
May we all have the courage to recognize that liberation begins as an act of intimacy with truth. Truth is not outside the bounds of love, it only deepens it.

I am especially grateful for the women in my life, my sisters who lift each other up, especially @lovedeepa who makes life extra meaningful with her presence.

The older I grow the more I realize that relationships are the zest and nectar of life.

To many more years of amplifying each other’s voices, while embracing our alegría. 🌹🤍🪽

my intention lately has been how can i be the clearest channel for light and love to pass through me and out into the world.

sometimes that means discipline with my meditation practice
sometimes that means dancing
sometimes that mean commitment to my work
sometimes that means connecting with other magical human beings
sometimes that means reading and learning and expanding my mind
sometimes that means being in nature
sometimes that means feeling and processing my emotions
sometimes that means breaking through limiting beliefs and narratives that block my authentic expression from the world

no matter the expression it is a constant reminder to return to presence and connect with the magical universe that’s in front of me rather than getting lost in the illusion that lives in my mind.

and as i share more light and love i feel it coming back to me and im reminded that it’s what we all inherently are and what a gift that is ✨
