Four years ago, I began a journey with Breakthrough T1D that I could never have imagined would become such a meaningful part of my life. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity, every conversation, every event, every late night, and every person who has helped make this journey what it has been. To my family and friends, thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and standing beside me every step of the way. To the advocates and everyone in the Breakthrough T1D community, thank you for turning hope into action and reminding me why this work matters. We’ve accomplished more than I ever could have imagined, and I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to build and fight for together. I’m so excited to carry this passion and purpose with me into the next chapter at Denver. Last night I was incredibly proud of my long time artist friend, Aimee. She created this beautiful disco ball with a group of amazing kids to help raise funds for type 1 diabetes. This was her 19th year organizing a group art project and helping with the Breakthrough Gala. Her love and dedication to these kids is beyond inspirational! Last night’s project raised $12’000 thanks to Aimee!

Today we welcomed the grand opening of the all New Steve Serra Hyundai. It was an honor to be standing there today, surrounded by esteemed guests, colleagues, family, friends, and customers who had been with us throughout the years. I would like to take a moment to pay tribute to Steve Serra, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly just 12 weeks ago. Steve was a great leader, tactician, trail blazer, mentor, father, and friend to so many of us in the Steve Serra Group. Steves legacy will live on in the passion, hard work, and dedication that he instilled in all of US, and we will continue to strive for excellence in his memory every day. I would also like to take this opportunity to recognize The whole Serra Family, Tony, Shirley, Jack, Bella, Kristina, and others who were all present with us today. We are truly grateful for their support and for the sacrifices they have made in allowing Steve to dedicate his life to this company and to the community. We ALL share their loss and stand with them in honoring the life and contributions of STEVE SERRA. Today, we marked a new chapter in The Steve Serra Groups history, with the opening of our state-of-the-art Serra Hyundai dealership. We are proud to be part of the Hyundai family, and we are grateful for the support of our corporate representatives, who were also present there today. Their commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has inspired us to excel in every aspect of our business. Steve Serra Hyundai has invested in the latest technology, facilities, and training to ensure that we provide our customers with the best experience possible. We understand that purchasing a vehicle is not just a transaction, but a relationship, and we are ALL committed to building that relationship with each and every one of our customers. I would also like to take a moment to recognize the mayor Buddy Choat, the city of Trussville, its dignitaries, and the other staples in the trussville community that came to our event today. We truly appreciate all your support in assisting us with seeing this massive project through. Thank you all so much in welcoming The Steve Serra Brand into the community!
