✨ QUEEN CITY JUST MADE HISTORY! ✨

We are beyond proud to celebrate Aimy Steele, Ph.D., a member of the Queen City Chapter, on her historic appointment as 2026–2028 National Corresponding Secretary of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.
💙🤍💕

Dr. Steele is the first member of the Queen City Chapter to serve on the National Executive Board, making this an incredible moment in our chapter’s history! 👏🏽
From chapter leadership to the regional and national levels, Dr. Steele has consistently championed transparent communication, innovation, meaningful engagement, and ensuring that mothers feel informed, connected, and heard.

A dedicated educator, entrepreneur, and civic leader, she brings more than two decades of service and leadership to this role. We are excited to see her continue to use her gifts and her voice to advance the work of Jack and Jill on a national level.

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating our very own National Corresponding Secretary Aimy Steele, Ph.D.! 🎉💐

Tomorrow is the first day of school. 🍎📚

So here’s my challenge:

📞 Teachers: What if the first call home was simply to say, “Your child had a great first day” or “I’m excited to have them in my class”?

💜 Parents: What if we reached out to the teacher before there was ever a problem just to say, “We’re partners. How can I support you this year?”

Strong school cultures don’t start when there’s a problem to solve.

They start with relationships.

So tomorrow, let’s make the first interaction a positive one. A call. A message. An introduction. A thank you.

Small connection. Big impact. 💜

👇🏾 Teachers AND parents: Who’s taking the challenge? Drop a 🙋🏾‍♀️ below.

The countdown is on. 🎥

The SmartCEO™ Legacy Panel premieres in just over a week — real talk with three entrepreneurs who've built businesses that outlast the founder.

And this week's podcast episode is just as good: Dr. Aimy Steele, Founder & CEO of New North Carolina Project, on civic power, real estate, and giving yourself permission to chase every passion instead of just one.

Two reasons to give yourself some down time and tune in this week 👀

Full episode live now — link in bio.

Intentional parenting isn’t about having more. It’s about leaning in.

Sometimes the “inconvenience” is the point.

No extra resources? Build relationships.
No perfect setup? Build community.

Military families understand this well. When you’re far from home, your friends become family. You lean on each other for rides, pickups, support, Thanksgiving dinner.

Intentionality grows in community.

Who’s in your circle?

Many families don’t realize that military service can open doors to educational benefits for children and sometimes even grandchildren through GI Bill transfer benefits and related programs.

As we honor those who served this Memorial Day, it’s also important to make sure families understand the resources and opportunities that may already be available to them.

College affordability conversations should include:
• GI Bill benefits
• military-dependent scholarships
• tuition assistance programs
• ROTC opportunities
• veteran family support resources

Too often, families assume college is financially out of reach without first exploring what benefits may exist through military service in their family.

Knowledge matters. Questions matter. Planning matters.
