“Ains, jump off a cliff!”

Last week, I said goodbye to my youngest daughter as she begins her gap year with Youth With A Mission at their @ywamkona base. She will do three months of DTS (Discipleship Training School) and then three months of Outreach to a yet to be revealed location under the banner of “least reached people groups.”

I sent her with an audio message titled, “Ains, jump off a cliff!” meaning for her to try new things and have a blast taking wise risks. It might mean the physical cliffs of Kona, HI, and it might mean adventures where she cannot see the landing zone.

I got this picture, so I know she got the message! 😂

While I am sad to see her go, I’m extremely excited to see her jump into her God-given purpose! I know that for her to grow into the woman God has called her to be, she has to take calculated risks on the adventure of following Jesus into her vocation. God will guide her to the right friendships, mentors, and experiences along the way. He’ll even use the tough times to teach her and turn it all for good.

When is the last time you jumped off a cliff and trusted God with everything ahead?

CAMP!!! Oh how I could talk about it forever! It's the closest I've felt to Heaven on this side of eternity. Where physical exhaustion is quenched by spiritual satisfaction. Where we have the privilege to witness lives forever changed & children called home. There's nothing better than putting your "yes" on the table while walking alongside your best friends, to be the hands & feet of Jesus! I can't thank the Lord enough for the place that Surf City holds in my testimony & I'm forever changed by what the Lord has done in this place!!!🩵
