Oihan Indart @oihanito brought Basque culture to the runway, blending music, traditional costume and the playful spirit of cabaret.

With his own take on tradition, he brought with Martzelina a piece of his homeland to the show, celebrating the culture, the women who have kept it alive through dance, and the freedom to reinterpret it in new ways.

We recently presented ARIMA SS27 through the concept WELCOME TO THE STREET GARDEN at the @080bcnfashion, a collection that brings together two worlds that might seem distant at first: the energy of the street and the memory of the garden.

Expat or migrant?

Two words for people who left their country. One usually keeps the right to a say where they live. The other often doesn't.

You can live in a city for years, work there, pay your taxes, and still have no vote.

That's true for millions of people, and for a huge part of Berlin.
42% of #Berliners have a migration background.
Many of them had no vote in Berlin elections on September 20th.

So before the election, we brought Unboxing The Future of Berlin's International Politics to better understand what is at stake for Berlin's international communities.

Berlin is a city you can arrive in and truly become part of. That is worth protecting, and worth celebrating.

Video recap is out now. 👇

Thank you, Nandor Toth, @kavebulambo and @rainerseider, for your honest insights and for sharing your stories and experiences.

Thanks to @cicberlin - @venturecafeberlin for hosting us

Are you someone who tracks your body constantly with wearable devices, or do you ignore all of it?

Tracking anxiety is a reality today.

And then come the other questions:
Where does your data go?
Who has access to it?
How do you interpret it?
Who is liable if the data is wrong?

We had three experts at @ifa.berlin talking about the good, the bad and what comes next:

• Brian Larsen, @renpho , one of the largest producers of tracking devices, with a community of more than 20 million users.
• Carol Aquino, Head of Consumer Tech at @wgsn, which advises the world's biggest brands on where consumer trends are heading.
• Dr. Oliver Kemmann, engineer and consultant working at the intersection of AI, robotics, and care.

This is what we learned by Unboxing The Future of Beauty Tech and Wellness @ifa.berlin

#Beautytech and #Wellness are one of the fastest-growing markets in consumer tech right now.

Last week, we Unboxed it on the Dream Stage at @ifa.berlin

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

When the world feels unstable, we look for safety close to home. And nothing is closer to home than our own body.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲?

Four things that stayed with us, and where the market and technology is heading:

𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱.
Reaching the goal is not the hardest part. Staying consistent is. The next products won’t just get you there, they’ll stay with you after.

𝟮. 𝗔 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁.
A raw number means little on its own. Expect less raw data and more explanation of what it actually means.

𝟯. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.
From exoskeletons supporting workers with disabilities to tools reducing physical strain for others around them, this is where technology can have real impact.

𝟰. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘁.
Most devices still tell you what already happened. That’s shifting toward detecting problems earlier and becoming less invasive, quietly working in the background.

Thank you to Brian Larsen (@renpho ), Carol Aquino (@wgsn ) and Dr. Oliver Kemmann for bringing honesty, openness, rich insights and different perspectives to the Dream Stage.

And thanks to IFA Berlin, for giving space for these important topics.

Unboxing The Future of Berlin's Politics

📅 September 10 | 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
📍 CIC Berlin

Diversity is Berlin's core. This election could shape what happens to it — and the role of technology in guaranteeing the vote's integrity.

What makes Berlin, Berlin? Its ✨diversity✨

Around four in ten Berliners have an international background, and the city has long opened its doors to people arriving from around the world. That openness has shaped its economy, culture, and character — and this election could shape what happens to it.

At the same time, trust in elections increasingly rests on technology: the tools that run and check the vote and help make sure every voice is counted the way it was cast. This special Unboxing The Future session brings together three perspectives on Berlin's future and the role of international communities, technology, and democratic participation.

Featuring:
Olivia Czetwertynski — Co-Founder, Unboxing The Future
Rainer Seider — President, Asia Berlin Forum e.V. & Volt Berlin Candidate
Diego - Ain TheMachine — Co-Founder, Unboxing The Future & Ain TheMachine
Kave Bulambo — Founder & Executive Director – Innovation & Talent Ecosystems, BlackInTech Berlin
Nandor Toth — Co-Founder & CDO, Stateless

Where is the constant self-scoring leading us?

Smartwatch, Oura ring, Strava app, a mirror that reads your skin’s age...

Does it make you perform better?
Does it make you healthier?
Or does it make you harder on yourself, until you start underperforming?

And if you are living with a health condition, this might be the access you have been waiting for.

That is the topic we are unboxing at @ifa.berlin this Sunday:
Unboxing The Future of Beauty Tech and Wellness - Everything as a Score and You are the Data.

A cream comes with a reading now. A mirror analyses a face. The product no longer only treats. It assesses, and it hands back a verdict.

And where does your data go?

Our special guests:

*Brian Larsen from @renpho , one of the world’s largest sellers of personal tracking devices, with more than 20 million users worldwide.

*Carol Aquino, Head of Consumer Tech at @wgsn . Forecasting consumer trends for brands and retailers globally.

*Dr. Oliver Kemmann, who spent 25+ years helping organisations adapt to new technology, and is now focused on AI and robotics in care.

📍 Sunday, Sept.6th, 4pm, Hall 25.

Unboxing The Future is a live talk show. Curated conversation, live electronic music, and an audience that shapes what happens on stage.

See you there!
