Based on some lovely conversations with our guests, here are some tips about traveling to Amed 🌊
1. Amed is located on the very East part of Bali, so be prepared for a long beautiful sightseeing journey to arrive here. (From airport it’s about 3-4 hours with car)
2. Due Amed is not near the main city like the other tourist objects like Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, you can’t get everything in here. Maybe your favorite shampoo for example is hard to find around. So please don’t be disappointed.
3. Always bring cash (but carefully) with you. Even though there are 4 ATM machines around, but sometimes they can be broken for more than 24hours. Better also to change money in big tourist area like Ubud for a better rate of exchange.
4. Amed is not just about Jemeluk Bay snorkeling and diving centers, but also about other beaches like Bunutan (where @aionabali is located), Lipah, and Banyuning. Hills like Bangle and the holy springs also possible to visit 🌛
4. Always travel in the morning or afternoon. If you plan to go bit outside Amed such as Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga and Taman Ujung. The heat in East Bali can be extreme on summer season ☀️ Be careful with your skin.
5. Check when the low tide is coming for not hurting yourself and the corals 🌊 #amed #bunutan #amedbali #bali
