@greenlinetactical has always got such high-end cool things going on. Certainly aerial Gunney with @airbornetactical is always epic! And owning the night at the “Night Ops Summit” takes all to another level! I’ve known Don and Sam for many years serving in the same unit as Don Edwards and being a longtime industry ally with Sam Houston. In my opinion, highly recommended and endorsed. Thanks for all the support Don and Sam. Let’s go to Panama.! 🌴 🇵🇦 🐍 #flyinghighagain #ozzy #littlebird #nemesiscamouflage #greenlinetactical

Kelby & Nixie demonstrating exactly how a K9 needs to behave while flying in a helicopter. This is critical safety concern for all involved. The K9’s must be able to calmly fly without causing a distraction or disruption to the crew. Happy Friyay!
** Do not try this at home. These K9’s are highly trained professional working dogs. They are equipped with specialized safety equipment. If this flight was a doors open long duration flight they would also be wearing ear protection.**

Yes, Motas can dive. He can fly. He can be fearless.

But what impresses me most is that he can stay calm through it all.

Fifteen feet above the water, with the helicopter roaring overhead, his focus never changes. He knows his mission before his paws ever touch the water.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. ❤️🐾

Ready in his gear.
Ready in the simulator.
Ready for the real thing. 🚁🌊

K9 Isaac’s first helocast

This moment was built through preparation, trust and progressive training. From becoming comfortable in his equipment, to rehearsing the mechanics of the exit, to finally putting it all together from a real helicopter.

Because we don’t train just to do something once. We train so that when the environment changes, the noise gets louder and the stakes become real, the dog still understands the job.

Isaac was ready to respond!

Together we train. Together we respond. Together we save lives.

For your pleasure on working dog Wednesday we bring you…Kelby! K9 Kelby executes a perfect helocast from 15 feet off the water to rescue a swimmer in distress. Once she hits the water she immediately locates the rescue swimmer in the helicopter who then joins her In the water. She remains calm and rejoins with the rescue swimmer and then proceeds to the victim. She never swims away from the helicopter or rescue swimmer until the rescue swimmer gives her the command.
**please do not try this at home. Kelby is a highly trained professional water rescue dog, equipped with specialized safety equipment and training to minimize the risk of injury. The K9’s are assisted with their jump for safety and timing requirements**

On this Working Dog Wednesday, I want to share something incredibly special that Nicholas and I had the honor of doing on September 11th — a day forever etched into the heart of every American. 🇺🇸

Training on September 11th wasn’t simply another day of training or another milestone. It meant something deeper. We also remembered Angel -the first K9 Water Rescue dog in the US—now our guardian ANGEL @angelwaterrescuek9. Thank you Dr. Maria Gray!

We trained with the weight of history around us — remembering the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away, the K9 teams who stood beside their handlers and searched tirelessly, and the countless heroes who answered the call without knowing what the day would ask of them.

We remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
We remembered the families who never got to bring their loved ones home.
And we remembered the working dogs who gave everything they had alongside the people they trusted.

Standing there with Nicholas, I couldn’t help but feel the significance of what we were doing. Every command. Every skill. Every step forward. It is all part of preparing a working team to be there when someone needs us most.

We can never repay those who served that day. We can only remember them, honor them, and carry their legacy forward.

I am incredibly proud of Nicholas and grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, training, and growing together. Also special thanks to @airbornetactical for all the expertise, the team, pilots and of course the chopper.

Thanks to Angela @motas_doodle - for this awesome video! 💪🏼😍

September 11th — We Remember.
We Honor.
We Never Forget. 🇺🇸🐾❤️ 🐕‍🦺

Congratulations to our 9 newest Helocast qualified K9’s! They made multiple jumps at varying heights over the past two days! Our K9 lifeguard handlers trained hard and were able to successfully execute the jumps with their K9’s. Our non jumping dogs were able to utilize this time for acclimation to the sights and sounds of helicopter work, they will be the next ones up! Thank to our pilots and crew chief who were nothing short of amazing. We continue to build capability in our K9’s for any situation that we may encounter!

Nixie and Kelby made their first helocasts! These highly trained professional water rescue dogs jumped at varying heights throughout the day. Stay tuned for video of the amazing jumps from Kelby next!! We are so proud of Nixie, she just had her first two rescues less then a week ago and now she is helocasting!
* caution do not try this at home! These are highly trained K9’s and crew in a controlled environment. Without proper training and safety equipment Injury or death is possible!*
