Last week we launched the NEW First Friday maps at venues across Rochester! These are great for orienting new folks to Rochester’s Citywide Gallery Night. So grab one, hand it to someone who doesn’t yet know about First Friday, and show them what they’ve been missing!

As always, June’s line up was a blast, next First Friday is July 3 - First Friday carries on even though it’s near a holiday. Venues, if you’ll be open, send your event information to us today.

First Friday is supported by Rochester City Council and our generous map sponsors. #FirstFridayROC @rochester_city_council

Day one in London! (We made it- Phew we were delayed several hours in ROC, and thankfully our connection to Heathrow was also delayed 😮‍💨!!) So spent the day getting acclimated and resting. just finished up a tasty dinner and it’s straight to bed, we’ve got a long wild week ahead of us that we can only vaguebook about for now- but with all 150 pounds of balloons in our luggage accounted for, it’s going to be awesome!

Today’s the day! 🎈

Don’t forget to join us in the Gather Gallery for a first-ever Community Balloon Sculpture experience with Airigami, inspired by the incredible Blaschka Sea Creatures. @airigami

Stop by anytime today to inflate, twist, and connect balloons as we build a stunning collaborative sculpture together! Explore the magic of shaping with breath—whether in glass or balloons—and help create something amazing during your holiday visit.

The finished sculpture will remain on view for about a week, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this masterpiece. ✨

It’s a rainy day here at @colorscapechenangoartsfestival but we have a tent. A dedicated volunteer crew will make this Airigami #BubbleMural. If you’re in or near Norwich NY, come join us. #publicart #CommunityArt

Join the fun as Colorscape attendees team up with Rochester, NY-based balloon muralists Airigami to build a large-scale bubble art installation—created over the course of the entire Colorscape weekend!

Created entirely out of compostable balloons, everyone is invited to help create this community mural depicting “The Lillie,” one of two canal packet boats which carried passengers along the Chenango Canal during its four decades in operation (1837-1878). Thank you to the Chenango County Historical Society for hosting this fun installation!

Located next to Peggy's Stage in West Park, check in through the weekend to add your balloon and see it come to life!

Was too busy chatting with folks to make a proper reel- but it was great to catch up with folks to find out where they wound up. The evening’s consensus was centered on making artist owned co-op spaces easier to create, and #publicpower too!
