2026 Encampment is underway! Our annual summer youth leadership program is in its first week and energy is high! 24 youth from 4 different countries and across about a dozen states join this month to grow their leadership, build community, and develop their critical thinking skills and own voice. Save the date for InterGenerational Weekend July 17-19 to meet current Encampers AND alumni, to see end of year performances and participate in intergenerational dialogue and activities! Today I received a thank you card from @brooklynethical for a presentation @margotgibney and I did along with recent youth alumni. What a beautiful card, and it reminds me of the beautiful legacy that I inherit as the new Executive Director of the Encampment for Citizenship, and the torch that we all help to carry in our lifetimes. The shoulders of those before us on which we stand are mighty. Proud and honored to be part of this organization and movement for social justice. And a tremendous thank you to my friends and family who so fervently support me! ❤️ For those 15-18 yrs old who want a transformative summer experience, apply! Applications are open for about another month, and then they close. https://encampmentforcitizenship.org/efc-programs/how-to-apply/

After 6 semesters, 1 blog, and 1 amazing show, it’s finally time for me to graduate. Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of my UIC Radio journey. It wouldn’t have been the beautiful experience it was without you all. So without further ado, may the force be with you, and thank you for Pressing Play.
