What started as an idea by @5tr4n0, @aitso & @nicolassassoon grew into one of Montréal’s most distinctive artist-led digital art projects. 🔴🟢🔵

RGBMTL is built around a simple idea: artists curating artists.

That horizontal ethos aligns closely with Art on Tezos’ vision, which is why we’re proud to have supported RGBMTL again this year as it reached its 5th edition and, for the first time, joined forces with @mutekmontreal. 🇨🇦

“Pixel artist Pablo Rivero, better known as Stipinpixel, has been a defining voice in the Tezos ecosystem since 2021. Through handcrafted pixel animation, he demonstrates how minimal resolution can still carry warmth, rhythm, and emotion, building a visual language that feels both timeless and unmistakably his own.”

@rgb_mtl & @mutekmontreal is finally coming soon ✨🥳✨

This year feels especially meaningful to me, as I’m also participating as a curator 😌

A huge thank you to @a_mashiro_jp @____cychen @hypereikon @kz_lab_e @jennipasanenart for joining the exhibition! And I’m also grateful to @mariafynsknorup , whom I had the pleasure of connecting with through the open call ✨

Some artists who usually create still images even challenged themselves to create video works specifically for this exhibition ☺️

For this curation, I reached out to artists whose work carries a quiet yet powerful presence, with a distinct and deeply personal visual language.

I believe many of the artists in m curation are also participating in RGBMTL for the first time, so I’m truly happy to have the opportunity to introduce such wonderful artists to the community 💐

Lastly, thank you so much @nicolassassoon @aitso and @5tr4n0 for organizing everything ☺️

EN/ RGBMTL is a Montreal-based artist collective celebrating artistic communities active online & on the blockchain: vibrant creative ecosystems still largely absent from exhibition spaces. Each year, RGBMTL invites 25 to 30 artists from within these communities to act as curators, each selecting 5 to 10 artists from their networks. The result is a collective curation of over 200 artists, reflecting from within a vast diversity of emerging digital practices. Established & emerging artists are exhibited on equal terms: each artist is shown for one minute, across formats echoing the contexts in which they were originally shared. An invitation to discover, experience & celebrate the digital arts, their communities & the artists who carry them. RGBMTL is free & open to all. Thank you to @artontezos, @objktcom, @mutekmontreal & all the artists!

FR/ RGBMTL est un collectif d'artistes montréalais célébrant les communautés artistiques actives en ligne et sur la blockchain : des écosystèmes riches et dynamiques encore largement absents des espaces d'exposition. Chaque année, RGBMTL invite 25 à 30 artistes issus de ces communautés à jouer le rôle de curateurs, chacun sélectionnant 5 à 10 artistes de son réseau. Il en résulte une curation collective de plus de 200 artistes, reflétant de l'intérieur une vaste diversité de pratiques numériques émergentes. Artistes établis et émergents sont placés sur un pied d'égalité : chaque artiste est présenté pendant une minute, dans des formats choisis pour faire écho à leur contexte initial de diffusion.
