Now that I’ve (mostly) stopped crying… okay, not really… it’s finally time to put this into words.
I’ve been an all-star cheerleader for 15 years… since I was 3 turning 4. Somehow, the moment I always knew would come still came way too fast.
Xtreme Cheer, thank you for the best 9 years I could’ve ever asked for. You didn’t just shape me into the athlete I am today you shaped me into the person I am. You gave me confidence when I had none, strength when I felt weak, and a place where I truly belonged.
To my teammates, past and present thank you for growing up with me. The laughs, the tears, the injuries, the early mornings, late nights… you are more than teammates. You are my forever family.
To my parents there will never be enough words. Thank you for every sacrifice, every long day, and for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself.
To my Littles you mean everything to me. Watching you grow has been such a privilege. Never doubt yourselves I’ll always be cheering you on 🤍
Mike & Dana thank you for loving me like your own.
Coach Cookie thank you for pushing me beyond my limits and showing me what I’m capable of (yes… even the bear crawls were worth it).
This sport gave me everything friendships, memories, discipline, resilience, and heart. It’s been my safe place, my home. Saying goodbye is so hard… because this isn’t just the end of a season, it’s the end of a childhood.
But no matter where life takes me, a part of me will always be on that mat.
This may be my final bow… but I’ll never be a stranger
