This weekend was nothing short of amazing and truly reminded me why I got into bodybuilding. It’s not just about how you place on stage but also what’s created outside of it. The confidence, the mindset, the determination, and the grit that’s built off the stage.

This weekend I had 3 clients hit the stage and I couldn’t be more proud of their journey. They’ve truly made me such a better coach & this was truly a full circle moment for myself.

@bradley_wright3 losing almost 100 pounds with me and hopping on the OCB Yorton Cup PRO stage and competing with the top natural athletes in the world AND placing. I couldn’t be more proud and yes. I shed a tear on that one haha. There’s a reason why I call him the terminator. He shows up every day and his work ethic is something I personally admire

@ty_robsfitness and @aj_ayegb competing this weekend and absolutely crushing it out there and I couldn’t be more proud for either of them. They truly showed resilience, determination and an insane work ethic.

Aj has shown up day in and out making progress every single show he has done with me. It’s insane to see how much trusting the process really does pay off. You’re truly built for so much and I am so blessed to help guide you there.

Tyler, you’re a dog and you do everything that I ask no matter the cost and I truly appreciate that. We blew last year’s physique out of the water and I look forward to seeing your growth in this industry because it’s just getting started.

Shoutout to my girlfriend @felicityfrate who is the best person I can ask for backstage allowing me to give my all to my clients while she gets me whatever is needed for them. Truly a rockstar, I love you 🫶🏼

I got to meet my boy @kenivate.fitt and get a lift (and a lot food) in with him. Him and his wife showed great hospitality allowing us to stay almost a week over his apartment. I can’t wait to see where his future in the fitness industry goes, so proud of him and the man he’s becoming.

To all my other friends and family that i’ve been able to meet up with, thank YOU for your unwavering support. This sport has given me so much purpose and I am only getting started.

Men’s Physique Overall Winner 🏆 | July Summer Shred 2026

It’s hard to put this prep into words.

Countless check-ins (sometimes 3-4 per week), adjustments, posing sessions, tough conversations, early mornings, late nights, and trusting the process every step of the way. Aj earned every bit of this. This is only the beginning for you & the sky is the limit champ

The biggest reason I became a coach is because I remember what it felt like to step on stage feeling underprepared and I never want another athlete to experience that.

My goal has never been to simply hand someone a meal plan and a training program. It’s to be there when things get hard, answer the late-night questions, make the adjustments that matter, and make sure my athletes walk on stage knowing we’ve done everything possible to bring their best. I know that any coach reading this would agree.

The difference between looking good and placing well usually comes down to the details.

Here are 3 mistakes I see first-time competitors make all the time:

1. Thinking peak week will make up for being under-conditioned.

Peak week enhances what you’ve already built, it doesn’t create conditioning. It’ll bring out the finer details but if you’re unconditioned then it can’t fix that lol

2. Waiting until the last minute to practice posing.

You can have the best physique on stage, but if you can’t present it, the judges won’t see it. Practice posing months out, not weeks.

3. Eating something random the night before the show.

Peak week isn’t the time to experiment. Stick with foods you’ve already tested and know your body responds well to. Yes, burgers can be a useful tool if you need a quick carb-up and you’ve used them successfully before BUT they aren’t a magic meal and definitely shouldn’t be the default. It’s an easy way to spill if you have no idea how you’ll respond to it BUT I’ve used it before personally for a big carb up replacement. It’s on a per case basis tbh

The goal on show day is simple: eliminate surprises. The more predictable your plan, the better your chances of bringing your best package to the stage.

This is why I love coaching.

Yeah, seeing people lose weight and build muscle is awesome, but that’s honestly not my favorite part.

My favorite part is watching someone become more confident, more disciplined, and mentally stronger than when they first started.

This lift was one for the books 🤝🏼
