What a ride this has been! I’ve grown in ways I never expected, and met some of the most genuine, hardworking, and inspiring individuals along the way.

I give all glory to God. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” There were moments where I questioned myself, moments of exhaustion and uncertainty but God continuously reminded me that His timing is perfect and His plan is greater. 🙏🏾

To my friends, supporters and everyone who believed in me: Thank you for being part of this journey and always showing up for me. This isn’t just my win, it’s ours.

A special thank-you to @chanelle_creations your creativity brought my vision to life.

To my family, especially my Mom: Thank you for your unconditional love and belief in me. Your sacrifices and support have built the foundation I stand on today.

To my pageant moms and dads: Your guidance, patience, and love made this experience so special. Thank you for seeing potential in me.

To my pageant brothers, we did it! Every rehearsal, every laugh, every moment, I’ll never forget it. Iron sharpens iron, and y’all truly pushed me to be better.

To my new court brothers: Congratulations to each of you! I’m proud to stand beside such driven, talented, and passionate men as we represent this legacy together.

To the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Thank you for trusting me to represent such a powerful legacy. It’s an honor to stand beside such remarkable women who embody sisterhood, scholarship, and service. I promise to uphold the values of your chapter and wear this title with pride.

And to my Miss Delta Sigma Theta, @demihoward_ : What an honor it is to serve beside you. From the start, your grace, passion, and leadership have inspired me. I’m proud to be your Mr. 1913, guess that just makes us the perfect 10/10 duo❤️

For those who know me, I don’t often have much to say, so this probably won’t be long 😂. However, this experience taught me to step out of my comfort zone. Initially, I was scared I wouldn’t make it, but I prayed and let God do his work. I’m incredibly proud to call all nine of these guys my brothers. Little do y’all know, you got me out of a shell I didn’t expect to break. From our laughs to our little disagreements, I truly love y’all. I can’t wait to see y’all strive through life, and I always have your backs with our unbreakable bonds.
To my pageant dads, our interactions will be remembered as the best and most authentic. Your words will definitely be applied to life every day. #Turbulence
To my moms, y’all are literally THE BADST. You had a plan, and we executed straight TEN’S ACROSS the board. Y’all set us with new challenges, knowing we would come through (with side eyes 😂). Y’all truly brought laughter out of us, and I couldn’t thank you enough for the love you gave us. M10✈️

My pageant has come and gone, but I gained way more than I ever bargained for.

To the #1 Public HBCU 7 YEARS IN A ROW! 🐍

Thank you for always supporting me. I love yall so much, and I’m always here if you need me. You know “Unc” got you!

To the Pageant Committee ❤️

Machaela, Kaya, Zayla, Morgan, and Da’Nae — yall are everything Delta Sigma Theta stands for, and I’m incredibly proud of you. You put on THE BEST show the Hill has ever seen. Thank you for showing this “old dog” new tricks. Forever grateful. Love yall to pieces!

To the NEW COURT👑

Joey, Kaleb, Ajani, and Kendrick — I’m EXTREMELY proud of you. Your hard work showed every step of the way, and seeing you reap the benefits was beautiful. Your reign is gonna be special. Congrats again, boys!

To MACH 10 ✈️

It was an honor grinding alongside yall boys. Every alignment, every tired moment, every thought of quitting — yall pushed me through. I’m a better person because of you. I’d pick my 10 over anybody else’s. Love yall forever.

The pageant chapter might be done, but trust me… the fun has just begun. Stay tuned.

With love,
Malc
