Moving to Cornwall alone in my van, something which I did roughly 5 months ago & has genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made :) :)

If you’re thinking about starting van life, moving somewhere new, or doing something outside your comfort zone, I promise you there is so much reward that comes from taking that first step !!

I moved here alone, not knowing many people and honestly not knowing how it would all work out, but looking back now this little (big) van has given me some of the best memories I could’ve asked for.

Post-work sea swims, sunsets outside my home, exploring the Cornish coastline, meeting new people and creating moments I never thought I’d experience.

I now get to share these adventures online as my job, something which a few years ago I genuinely never thought was possible.

Nearly 200,000 of you have followed along at some point, and I still wake up wondering why !!

All I know is that this van has become one big memory bank, and I’m so grateful I get to share it with you guys.

Life is way too short to keep waiting for the perfect time, so go explore that place you’ve always wanted to visit, watch that sunset, take that trip, or just say yes to something that scares you.

You never know where one decision might take you 🫶🏽

Just another big wonderful month of living solo in my van in Cornwall > > >

It really is funny how quickly somewhere can start to feel like home :))

Another month of sea swims, sunsets, meeting new people, working from the van, getting outside as much as possible & slowly building a lifestyle I’ve wanted for a long time.

It definitely hasn’t all been perfect behind the scenes, but I’ve been really grateful for moments like these.

Locations as follows:

1. My favourite Sunset of the season yet @bedruthansteps camping.
2. A solo sea swim at little Fistral
3. A 10/10 bench on an evening walk
4. Chasing hills in Mawgan Porth with @oscarsilvester
5. Home sweet homeee
6. After work Sea swim with @jessj0y @w.esbaker

8. Watergate Hay-Bales (currently still there)

If there’s one thing these last couple of months have reminded me, it’s how much the simple things can make a difference.

Hope everyone really is having a good summer but if times are tough right now, just remember if we didn’t have the lows we wouldn’t know the highs X

Not motivation. Not genetics. Not a lucky programme.

The lads who actually build muscle just do these things consistently.

1. They eat enough protein every single day. Not most days. Every day. Around 2g per kilo
of bodyweight.

2. They train 3 to 4 days per week and recover properly between sessions. Not 6 or 7.

3. They follow a programme with progressive overload. Every week they lift a little more or do one more rep.

4. They track their food at least loosely. Not forever. Long enough to understand what they’re actually eating.

5. They eat the same few high-protein meals on rotation. Decision fatigue kills consistency. Boring meals don’t.

6. They sleep 7 to 8 hours. Muscle is built in recovery. Not in the gym.

7. They don’t stop when they have a bad week. They just start again the next day.

8. They drink water before anything else in the morning. Cheap habit with a big compounding effect on energy and performance.

9. They weigh themselves weekly and average the number. They don’t react to one bad day on the scale.

None of these are hard.
All of them are consistent.
That’s the difference.

Save this checklist. Run through it and pick the one you’re missing.
