Re: My ARC Review

One hell of a debut!
This story gripped me from the beginning as it revealed themes of obsession, vengeance, and trauma. It had the slow burn and twists that I love. Bishop was relatably unstable from the get-go, and the plot was really thought-provoking in our modern tech-dependent world. I finished this last night and I am still processing!
This is definitely a “weird girl” thriller and I loved it!

Basilisk By A.J. Finch

“Carina walked into the paper shop on the day I first took a life. It was a beautiful day.”

What if you spent years plotting the perfect revenge against the man who killed your sister, only for someone who sounds strangely familiar to begin contacting you days before your plan comes to fruition?

Cybervigilante Bishop Carver left art school and her tech-savant fiancé to walk the path of vengeance. But someone (or something) from her past is stalking her. Days away from claiming justice for her sister’s death, Bishop meets the magnetic Carina, and her plan begins to unravel. With an intense new connection and a closet full of skeletons closing in, Bishop must face the past, or become the very thing that haunts her.

D7 By Philip Fracassi

A haunted jukebox at an out-of-the-way dive bar not only lures patrons, but then doesn’t allow them to leave.

Good Boy by Neil Mcrobert

When a child vanishes on the edge of a small Northern town, one woman witnesses the unthinkable from her window – a stranger digging in the exact spot where the boy was last seen.

But when she confronts the stranger, the truth is far worse than what she had imagined. What has been feeding on this small, forgotten community? And how long has it been in their midst?

Ten before the end

I used to think this trend meant like before you die 😂

Anyway here’s my 10 books I really want to make sure I read by the end of 2026, even though The Talisman would probably take me 156 business days to read

I’m late to the party on Keith Rosson but I need to read all his books because he’s fucking great

Tagged a few people, no pressure and sorry if you’ve already done this one 👻
