Window, Wallpaper, and Emergency is a solo exhibition by Toronto-based artist Lan Florence Yee. They will present a new body of interdisciplinary work that examines the legacies and contradictions of utopian thought through installation, textile, painting, and light-based media. Grounded in research into the architectural history of glass brick, the project reflects on how modernist aspirations towards transparency and social progress persist and fracture within contemporary experiences of migration, queerness, and collective life.
