Come see our cute short film about a struggling band writing the greatest song ever @jaylinathefilm this Thurs Sept 3rd at the TCL Chinese Theater in LA at 9pm! Our World Premiere is part of the amazing FilAm Creative Shorts Block at @manilaintlfilmfest 🥳🥳🥳 Tickets are FREE with the code “FAC100” at check out, hit the link in my bio or go to http://miff2026screenings.eventbrite.com 🎟️ I love being on set with my friends. I can’t explain the gratitude that I have whenever they all take the time to create together and this ended up being such a beautiful day. Jamie & Lina is sweet story about a queer band trying to come together to write a song, a bright light in a complicated state of the world. The song is a banger and the short is an ode to ever artist I know. We hope you get to see it on the big screen this Thurs! #Jaylina4Eva 💜💜💜 🎭 @morelos_sam 🎤 @ellajaybasco 🎸 |🎥| Dir: @rhymeswithralph Written by: @rhymeswithralph Producers: @iammartacus @rhymeswithralph @tina_carbone_films @wholepicturesla @undrdgpresents DP: @hot_kamote Costume Design: @akathayz Production Design: @mikkiroew Script Supervisor: @iammartacus 1st AD: @madelineabiera Key Gaffer: @mmm_chiuee HMU: @judeandammakeup Sound Mixer: @daleedwardchung Art PA: @preciouskprado PA: @ajvague @sarahhdngo @skylerbible @maddie_frownie |💻| Editor: @kevinolkenhenthorn Colorist: @_jacob_butler_ Composer: @valeriortizmusic Sound Editor/Mixer: @andiidioma Re-Recording Mixer: Andrea Trinidad Idioma Sound Effects Editor: @chris.stucker Foley Services: Narra Post-Production Studios Foley Mixer: Jose Elian Idioma Foley Artist: Harold Elviña Foley Artist: Nicole Rosacay |🎶| “The Greatest” ✍🏽: @baileymyown @rhymeswithralph 🎸: @eliza.pet 💻: @drearosemusic + @rhymeswithralph 🥁: @ichi_drums (recording + on screen) 🎸: @yekeno (bass on screen) Studio: @dynamicartsnorth

Holy shit y’all!!! I’m so freaking stoked to announce that SLEEP SWEET is an official selection at one of my most favorite festivals out there… Proof Film Festival! @prooffilmfestival @am_cinematheque I am also insanely honored and excited to be (what I’m told) the 1st THREE TIME ALUMNI! What?! Day made!! This tiny little Tina passion project was shot in a mere 5 hours on a Thursday night in July, in my apartment, with a handful of friends that donated their time, talent and gear to help me continue putting my name out there as a director… and goddamn am I forever grateful! (We also had it completely thru post and submitted to Proof five days later to make the deadline- the fastest turnaround I’ve ever done! 😬🫠) A huge extra thank you to my bestie, production designer and now producing partner @ajvague for spending so much time turning my dining room into a studio apartment… and for just generally putting up with all my shenanigans. Thank you for being my adventure buddy and plus one on EVERYTHING! I love you! Make movies with your friends, y’all!! Lead with kindness, respect each other, keep showing up, make those connections, be a cheerleader, and SUPPORT INDIE FILM!!! This team did all of that and more and I LOVE YOU ALL! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! ✨ Directing while pregnant ✨ I’m a few weeks late posting, but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t find time to post these during downtime at L&D. Directing toward the end of my third trimester meant a lot more sitting on apple boxes than usual, but that is zero issue when you’ve done a ton of prep with an amazing crew. I am not making a comment here about women being superheroes who can do anything during pregnancy, because every pregnancy is different. But the decision to work should lie with the pregnant person, and not based on an assumption that pregnancy is limiting. You can trust us to be honest about our limits while we grow a human with our bodies. I was lucky - my pregnancy was difficult but free of major complications. I had anemia, so I never got the second trimester energy boost that many people experience. But I love to work, and even with the physical pain and exhaustion, there is not a day where I would not have been capable of rallying to be on set. Big thanks to DP @kelsography, production designer @ajvague, food stylist @surprisediet, hilarious actors @willgcooper @ange.cristantello and @mickeymwoo, and the amazing team @laundry_studios for helping to bring this creative to life. I can’t wait to share it, and to get back on set postpartum. Full credits and an incredibly silly comedy spec coming soon!
