It was a hard decision to not head back to AK this spring. What a special place and experience I had last year while making my film #dunestodescents . Definitely missing my AK family. There is always next year!!! Till then here are a few of my favorite moments. Also huge shoutout to @akova.gear for making this trip possible!

Exciting new project on the horizon tho😉❤️

It’s amazing how this @gopro footage has held up after 10 years! @ak_johnross and @mattevans95 had this brilliant idea. I was of course down to help capture it. We rigged up every GoPro I had and they pulled off this insane stunt! #GoPro #stunt #skydiving #alaska #adventure

Shooting air to air with @prycebrown and @ak_johnross was one of my favorite parts of being in Alaska last spring. The capabilities of these airplanes and pilots is mind blowing. Definitely one of those “how did I get here” moments. Grateful for rad friends and epic adventures! @ak_johnross @prycebrown @annatabasco

Last spring I made a spontaneous decision to head to Alaska to finish filming Dunes to Descents. Out of 21 days living in a tent, we only managed to film for 2 — the rest were spent slowing down, adapting, and taking each day as it came.

We explored ice caves, rode mellow terrain when the weather allowed, and stayed up late watching the northern nights. To be honest it was still such an incredible time taking a step back from full send mode.

It wasn’t the story we set out to capture, but it became a reminder that the mountains move on their own timeline. I’m thankful for every moment we were given.

I can’t wait to return and play in the mountains with the AK family.

Flash back Friday: Alaska continued.

Another photo dump of adventures in AK last spring. Looking back at photos has me ready to head back north!!

Exploring new zones, parking lot shenanigans, hill climb + sled fires, more neat views, attempted fishing, being idiots, wolf hats, dinner from oil company man camp homies, to be continued….

It’s so good having it back. The snow. I’m so thankful the snow is back.

@andrew__muse is there too next to the spot on my lens.

Yes this is now.

That one time @kickerdogmuse went paragliding. Thankfully kicker is about a chill as golden retrievers come. He was redundantly harnessed in with climbing grade gear. My friend @ak_johnross who at the time was an instructor took him for his first flight. I would say we did great! 😂 #goldenretriever #adventuredog #adventure #happydog #epic #alaska @gopro

How did we get here?! Well… We threw packrafts and camping gear into out packs. Then took a train about 20 miles into the Alaskan wilderness. Hoped off at the whistle stop. Hiked about 2 miles to the Spencer glacier. While I inflated the park raft kicker made friends. We set off explored some ice bergs and paddled around a bit. This is so cool! Then floated down the river. We pulled off to let Kicker enjoy, gave him some love and made some lunch. We loaded back up and ate lunch on the river while @Kickerdogmuse took a nice long nap. We floated as far as we could and then hiked the train tracks back to the van. For the full adventure check out season 2 episode 12 of the tiny home adventure! This little golden retriever pup has been on some pretty epic adventures! Did you like this style of content? Please let me know and I’ll create more! Big thanks to my adventure partner @ak_johnross for showing my a side of Alaska I would have never found without you. Love you man!
Filmed entirely on @gopro!
