2005 // Iceland Park Project

One of the nicest and biggest jumps I’d hit at that point, and the same day I learned cab 7s.

That mix of fear, focus, and knowing you had to go or step aside.

Whitelines mag ran this shot and a few sponsors picked it up too, but the real story was the people.
Bunk buddies with @mariefranceroy was all time, stories for days, midnight Munchies runs, nonstop banter.
Henry Jackson keeping everyone entertained when the lights should’ve been out.

@chrissorman, @kalleohlson, @jukkaeratuli @halldor_helgason @eiki.helgason @gulligudmundsson and @stevefishermountainhomes pushing me nonstop, those guys really building my confidence that whole trip.

That year was special. That trip changed me.
Time flies, but this one still hits just as hard

Thank you snowboarding 🙏🏽

When I was 9 and completely obsessed with skateboarding, Scotland’s weather didn’t make it easy. It rained most days, and in winter there was just enough snow to cover the ground - even by remote island standards. So I took the wheels and trucks off my skateboard, sanded down the base, cut up old bike inner tubes for bindings, and made my own snowboard. My parents would drop me off at the nearest snowy hill, and I’d spend the whole day with friends sliding down and jumping over sheep, dreaming of the mountains I’d only seen in magazines.

That homemade board kicked off a lifelong obsession. After 15 years riding for the British Snowboard Team, I spent the next 13-14 years living and snowboarding my way through the States, Finland, France, Switzerland, Norway, and even Lebanon — basically anywhere with snow and a good crew. I had my own Lamar pro model, competed in more contests than I can count, and spent most of my 20s and 30s living out of a board bag

The people I met back then are still like family - scattered around the world but always tied together by this thing we love. Even now, that feeling hasn’t changed. The rush of dropping in, the sound of your edges cutting into fresh snow, the way everything goes quiet for just a second - it never gets old.

Snowboarding gave me a life I couldn’t have dreamed up as that kid on a rainy Scottish hill. Still feels like the best ride out there.

Appreciate Burton Snowboards for still being part of my life - even if the paychecks stopped long ago 🙏🏽
