I am beyond excited to share that I won Best in Show at the New York Comic Con 2026 Cosplay Showcase! It still feels surreal, and I honestly don’t think it has fully sunk in yet.

Every year I compete, I go in thinking I probably won’t win. I tend to downplay my skills and underestimate what I’m capable of, so moments like this are incredibly rewarding. To have so many hours of hard work, problem-solving, and dedication recognized on this level means more than I can put into words.

Congratulations to all the incredible cosplayers who competed, especially the winners of Judge’s Choice and Best Team! Everyone brought so much creativity, skill, and passion to the showcase, and it was an honor to share the stage with you all.

A huge thank you to the judges @akellyz @saynotoscrunchies and @dressesandcapes for choosing my cosplay. I have so much respect for the skill and experience you bring to this craft, and I aspire to reach your level one day. I can only imagine how difficult it is to judge so many amazing builds, and I’m truly honored to have been selected.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who cheered me on, stopped to talk about my Black Waltz No. 3, and shared in this experience with me. This win is a reminder to myself to stop underestimating what I can accomplish and to keep pushing my skills further.

I also want to thank those who helped me behind the scenes throughout this entire process. Whether it was lending a hand, offering advice, helping me troubleshoot, or supporting me in even the smallest ways, I truly couldn’t have accomplished what I did or finished this cosplay on time without you. Every little bit of help made a difference, and I’m so grateful to have had people in my corner throughout this journey. This win is a little bit yours, too.

Here’s to continuing to learn, create, and challenge myself. I’m still processing it all, but I am so incredibly grateful.

BEST IN SHOW. I still can’t believe it!!!
