This Saturday, May 9th, we were married by our dear friend Michael.

Our love story has felt like it was written for a film from our very first meeting. We are so incredibly lucky to have found each other in that stairwell in midtown over 2 years ago. But luck isn’t what has built us. It has been patience, gentleness, hard work, and joy that has shaped the foundation of our marriage.

Thanks to the immense generosity and support from so many dear friends and family members we had the wedding I’ve dreamed of since I was little girl; right under the oak tree in our friends yard where I used to play. A special thank you is owed to our friends Cameron and Whitney Dinkins for opening their home to us. Additionally, we owe an enormous thank you to my mom, Abbie, for carrying the weight of SO much of the planning and executing.

SO many of our guests flew and roadtripped from every corner of the US to be with us in the MS Delta and we are so eternally grateful.

From the music to the name cards, our love story was reflected in every element of the day. Not only did our vision and months of hard work unfold before our us, but in many ways our expectations were exceeded. We are SO grateful to every person in our villages without whom this day would not have been possible.

Despite the forecast all week(and thanks to some friends, spells, and old wives tales) we got to watch the most beautiful rain-free sunset over the lake. The food was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten, with fish that my dad, Stewart, helped spearfish and assisted in preparing along Chef Jeremiah Matthews. We followed it up by serving cake my dad and I baked together and I decorated that morning.

Then the real party started! We kicked off the dancing with our first dance choreographed by our friend, Stephen Eisenwasser. Then everyone hit the dance floor and stayed there all night. During that time the ice cream truck served ice cream sandwiches made by our friends Matty and Suz at @deltadairy ! Meanwhile I changed into my mom’s wedding dress!

We couldn’t be happier as we enjoy our honeymoon and start our lives as The Autrys!
