I paint because I love colors.
I paint because I’m terrible at math.

I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember. Art has always surrounded me. I grew up in Moscow’s art museums, hiding under staircases with my best friend. We’re still best friends.

I paint to connect with the world beyond my thoughts. Every time I start, I have a clear image, a moment, or an emotion I want to express. And every time it turns out differently on the canvas than in my mind. I panic at first. Then I let go, and trust.

Painting feels like a diary—something intimate I’m sharing, but without fully exposing myself. That makes me want to be gentle. I don’t aim to shock with my art, but rather to create a space for quiet reflection—where the viewer can contemplate their own thoughts.

When others see my work, they don’t know what it is really about. Instead, they create their own meanings, adding their own layers. And in the end it is no longer about me.
