•TOUR DU MONT BLANC, Day 5 🇮🇹🇨🇭
📍Arnouva to La Fouly (9.4 mi)
It’s UTMB day and another border crossing, baby! We shared trails with amazing UTMB athletes who have been running all night!

Nothing but jaw dropping views of the Pré de Bar Glacier and Grandes Jorasses as we ascended the highest point of classic route of Tour du Mont Blanc - Grand Col Ferret at 8,323 ft. We also saw Mont Dolent, a unique peak where all three borders of Italy, France and Switzerland meet.

Our day ended in a charming auberge of Maya-Joie where we met a sweet British couple whose plan was to run the entire TMB in 5 days! 😅A Swiss fondue dinner with a few Génépi shots capped this wonderful day. ♥️

•TOUR DU MONT BLANC, Day 4 🇫🇷 -> 🇮🇹
📍La Ville des Glaciers to Courmayeur (10.4 mi)
This day we crossed the border from France to Italy and passed the high alpine crossing of Col de la Seigne at 8,241 ft. The raging headwinds was definitely a type 2 fun.

Easily forgotten because of cows, beers, pasta and puppies!

•TOUR DU MONT BLANC, Day 3 🇫🇷
📍Les Contamines -> Les Chapieux (12.2 mi)
This TMB stage started with a steep, ancient Roman road, polished over by centuries of walking by merchants, soldiers and pilgrims. Then we tackled higher altitude landscapes and two big mountain passes - Col de Bonhomme (7,641 ft) and Col de La Croix du Bonhomme (8,133 ft).

Descent to Les Chapieux was steep but we were treated to one of my best experience of the trip - a big herd of sheep being guided by hardworking and feisty doggies!

Our 12-mile day ended with nice Brasserie du Mont Blanc beer at the remote hamlet of Les Chapieux. Cheers!

•TOUR DU MONT BLANC, Day 2 🇫🇷
📍Les Houches -> Les Contamines (11.5 miles)
Up to Col de Voza, the Bionnassay Glacier greeted bonjour! Spent most of the miles trucking along the alpine meadows, ski trails of Saint-Gervais and the quaint hamlet of Bionnassay.

Here we stayed in a clean and cozy rifugio, La Ferme à Piron. Met a few people in this rifugio that we met a few more times along the TMB trail.

Lengthy but more leisurely which was a good reprieve from the previous day and a good warm up for day 3!

•TOUR DU MONT BLANC, Day 1 🇫🇷
📍Chamonix -> Les Houches (11 miles)
Said adieu to Chamonix and bonjour to Les Houches! Didn’t take long to understand why this is one of THE best hut-to-hut hikes in the world. MONT BLANC MASSIF JUST SLAPS!

Arguably MY most difficult stretch out of the 9. Took a wrong trail, murdered a toe, had some cries but ended up in a cozy hotel, proudly owned and managed by a feisty Filipina! 🇵🇭
