A snapshot of this year’s bottling station. We extracted almost 200lbs of honey this year from our home apiary! We also were able to leave all 8 colonies with a full honey super for winter feeding. It was a good year! #knoxapiaries

Each year we produce a line of “gift honey” for our happy customers and this is our 2026 Gift Honey! It’s a 12 oz hexagon glass jar with a swizzle stick cork stopper. The 2026 Summer Honey is exquisite; it’s delicate, herbaceous, and simply perfect! Grab a bottle of the gift honey before it sells out! #knoxapiaries #summersweetness #2026gifthoney

Honey extraction process; uncapping honey frames. Once the honey is ready to store, bees will make a thin wax cap over each honey cell. We first have to “uncap” the honey frames in order to spin out the honey in our extractor. #knoxapiaries #honeyheaven #purerawhoney

We’ve had a small gift from the honeybees! Spring honey so light and pretty; likely from Black locust blooms. (Compared to fall honey second pic.). Rare and sweet! Our main honey flow is underway, and we’ll have honey for sale mid summer! #knoxapiaries #keeperofthebees #everydaymiracles #honeybeeheaven

Short clip on how we perform a Demaree Split on a honeybee colony. This is one way to prevent a honeybee colony from swarming, while also providing a large return in honey! We shall see how this goes. #demareesplit #keeperofthebees #knoxapiaries #honeybeeheaven

About a month ago, I found our queen from Colony 1 dead in the bottom of the hive, and there were a few capped queen cells. I decided to let nature take its course, though I doubted that there were drones available for mating at that point in the season. But lo and behold Colony 1 requeened themselves successfully and here is their beautiful Queen!! She is laying up a storm and this colony continues to thrive. #everydaymiracles #knoxapiaries #keeperofthebees. @aknox4
