POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We prepared for 20 farmers.

After waiting for more than an hour, we honestly started wondering if anyone would show up. 😭

Then they came.

And they kept coming.

About 50 farmers eventually joined us. 🌱

That moment reminded us why #BODAWURO matters: sometimes the stories are already there, you just have to create the space, show up, and listen.

Volta, you showed up! 🤍

This is BODAWURO 📣📣🥳🥳🥳

The journey is officially beginning🥳

For months, we’ve been building BODAWURO around one simple question:

Whose stories are still missing from Ghana’s #climate conversation?

Now, we’re taking that question on the road.

5 regions. 100+ frontline voices. One mission: to broadcast the stories that deserve to be heard.
And our first stop?

👀 Can you guess where we’re heading first?

Repost, share and like to support us on this journey!

“The Food Discourse, we hear you’re working on a new project, can you tell us what it’s about?”

Absolutely! It’s the BODAWURO project!

BODAWURO is the Akan word for “Broadcast” and at The Food Discourse that is what we’re set to do in these 5 distinct regions of Ghana.

We are on a dedicated journey of reconnecting the youth, especially Gen Zs to climate justice, while also amplifying, documenting, broadcasting, and archiving the stories of climate resilience, mitigation and adaptation as practised within the Food sector of these regions.

Our belief is that climate justice depends on whose stories get heard, so join us as we take you along on this journey and experience.

A special thank you to all our partners for coming onboard this ride with us. We look forward to making great impact together.

What if we could be active contributors to the change we want to see without depending on leaders as young people, amidst the very climate crisis that affects us?

Join us this weekend on the Loud and Green XSpace on #JoyNews as we spotlight a young person who chose to see a problem as an opportunity to innovate.

Mathias Charles Yabe is an award-winning social innovator and World Economic Forum “food systems hero”, transforming African agriculture with solar-powered solutions that slash crop waste and empower rural farmers.
