Turns out, selling Texas ranches and building an apparel brand have more in common than you’d think. Building @akuna.co Akuna has been a labor of love. It’s a completely different business, but it takes a lot of the same things: hard work, persistence, and a willingness to figure things out as you go. We’ve now sold of shirts to customers around the world, which is pretty cool to think about considering where we started a year ago. One of the most rewarding parts has been seeing people genuinely excited about something we’ve created. It’s the same satisfaction I get from helping someone find a ranch they’ve been dreaming about for years. We’ve still got plenty to learn and a long way to go, but it’s been a fun business to build.

A Brushy Creek TANK. Here’s the bass from yesterday’s reel. A fish like this truly dominates its section of a creek and won’t fall for just any presentation! It took a modified Fur Changer fly I tied. Working on getting this fly perfected, then will reveal the beautiful abomination that it is.😂 Comment if you’re interested and I’ll shoot you a message with my prototype!

Snuck out to California for my father-in-law’s birthday present! Had a BLAST hauling in Mahi for the day thanks to @fishermans_landing getting us to em! Shoutout to the Pegasus crew for a great experience. Can’t tell you how awesome it is getting to land fish like this. Hooking a sardine by the nose, ripping it out off the stern and within 30 seconds, one of these is testing your skills as an angler! Always wanted to be the dude hitting the grip and grin with a fish up to my neck! 🤪

Turns out sporting clays produce a lot more trash than you'd think, you know hulls, boxes, cans, the works. We spent a "Day For It" with @akuna.co and the @coloradoriverlandtrust crew making sure none of it stuck around after the fun was had, with the Litter Gitter riding shotgun the whole time. good times and great clean up, now thats the standard.
